Just finished watching it (yeah i got a bootleg, shoot me, they should release them at the bloody same time everywhere, not everywhere then the UK a bit later on!). Liked it, wasn't as X-Files-y as i'd hoped but it was a good movie!

I was really disappointed with the movie. I guess i expected to much with the movie and this is one of the cases where they should have left the series where they did. Mulder and Scully lived up to there characters but the whole story just sucked. Funny note in the theater I saw it in I think everyone was over 40 but me and my friend.

*Shrugs* I could have given you ten infraction points as well. Instead I gave you a 'Please don't mention illegally downloading movies.' Which is in the list of things I'm meant to do.
All you had to do was mention you'd seen it. Sure, we could have worked out how but, and you'll be shocked about this, so long as you don't out right say you're breaking the law I'm not going to yell at you. Or, you know, politely ask you not to. Instead you chose to make a point of saying you'd done it illegally.
Feel free to complain to Dot, gents, if you think I'm being overly zealous. That's your choice. Me? I reckon I'm just doing what's laid out in my guidelines.Last edited by Darkmoon; 07-30-2008, 02:31 AM.

My point was the UK waits for everything, and i was making the point that it does nothing but encourage us folks to grab stuff illegally cause we don't want to wait for the rest of the world to have stuff before us, it's ridiculous! And they complain that people in the UK don't go to the cinema as much as they used to, well this is why. Oh and i still fully intend on going to the cinema to see this, i'm a huge X-Files fan and this deserves my money.
If i had posted a link to download the movie then fair enough but come on, i hardly think the MPAA is gonna be bringing the forum down cause someone mentioned an illegal download (and i hardly think i'm the first person here to do such a thing). It just seemed like a really weak thing to slap an infraction on me for, it's not a nice thing to wake up to. Thats all.Last edited by rewak; 07-30-2008, 02:37 AM.

I feel for you. I'm in the same boat, since I'm in the UK. I find it hugely frustrating to dodge around on forums, avoiding spoilers of the damned movies that everyone has seen but me. And, honestly, I don't even think that downloading movies is a bad thing. I don't, because I've taken the view if I want a sequel then I need to support it by buying. But I understand why people go the other route.
However, I have a list of things to give infractions for...including mentioning pirating videogames, music and films. All I'm asking is you don't mention that you download them illegally. Say, 'I watched Hellboy 3' or whatever, even if it isn't out in the UK. Just don't say, 'I illegally downloaded Hellboy 3 to watch it'.

I saw the movie the other night and I actually liked it. I fell asleep towards the end because I saw the movie at a really late showing and I was functioning on 3 hours of sleep from the night before, so I'll need to look for the last 30 minutes of it somewhere.
I'll see if I search for the movie script later :-\
