Well, then, you haven't played it much, I guess.

I got it on launch day and played it pretty much every day for about 5 months.

I've been playing the COD5 multiplayer beta for a few hours now and so far, there's a slight learning curve compared to the other COD online games, but it's been a pretty fun experience Can't wait for COD5 to officially come out!

It's not Call of Duty 5. Call of Duty 5 will be coming out next year. This is something different entirely.

Not a fan of the Pacific Theater.

Well perhaps there's another Call of Duty : World at War coming out?

            Not what I meant...

Infinity Ward always develops the better iterations of Call of Duty. Treyarch's versions have reeked.

I've recently had a little bit of downtime on my gaming.
Been reading a lot + watching a lot of movies/television, for the sake of variety.

But seeing the new Call of Duty reminded me of my recent discovery: Call of Duty 4 is pretty ass as a game. Horrible enemy AI, terrible enemy spawn system, Horrible Friendly AI and that mixed with the "shoot through walls" thing. You can basically be "undetected", as far as the enemy knows, you do not exist. Yet, they'll all prioritize for no reason what-so-ever to shoot through the floor and a wall, just to hit YOU. Even though they have 5 of your team mates aiming their guns at them. They'll still be aiming at YOU, even though they don't even know if you exist. Your team mates are pretty awesome, though. They usually have infinite life, but when they die, it's either 'cause you shot them (GAME OVER) or because they were just planning to respawn around the corner to constantly fight without having to reload their gun or something.

How exactly do these tactical group entry whatever war games always win those Game of the Year awards anyway?

Also, if you do not find those issues up above familiar in any way, then you were playing on EASY/MEDIUM, used saving and loading more frequently than the Jump Button in a Mario game or you were cheating your way out to avoid the Game Over screen.

You bring up good points, but I finished the single player in a day. Since then, as you can imagine, AI has been sort of an after-thought. The replay value, obviously, came with the multiplayer. It was extremely addictive for a very long time. After playing it for so long, though, you find its faults and move onto a new game.

I'll have to concur with that. I feel the same way.

I'll admit that for the single player modes of the COD games, I really enjoyed COD 2 and 4. Yeah, the friendly AI is immortal no matter how much damage they seem to take, but this only applies to the main characters in the game. When playing on harder difficulties, you have to kind of use that to your advantage and let them clear out enemies since they also apparently never run out of ammo either... Like I said, you have to use that to your advantage. Takes away from the supposed realism, but you only notice that if you're really paying attention to what the others are doing. Like in previous COD titles, other friendly soldiers are essentially cannon fodder as far as the game is concerned. A new one will respawn in some previously cleared room though to join your ranks so that's cool...

On the final level on Order of Ecclesia = currently 12 hours
Fable 2 = I'd say 9 but most probably tis more like 11-12 (with food breaks etc).

Maybe 3 or 4 hours. I like to play Age of Empires II once a week. (I honestly don't play many games.) Once RE5 comes out, I'll be playing the heck out of that game.
