If I had to classify myself I would probably say I'm Pagan. My Mom is Pagan and that's how she raised me *shrug*. There was no real stress of faith when I was growing up. I like to think myself a free-thinker.

IMO there is no place for religion in a gaming forum like THIA. I know this is the off Topic section but still.
A moderator should probably 'wipe this religion from the face of the board'...

I don't believe in a god or an organized religion (I'm not a huge Star Wars fan either).
Most religions are just men, telling other men & women what to do. Religion is power and power corrupts...

Very very very touchy subject. Basically, i don't follow any religion, although i do believe in God, or maybe more the idea of God. Religion in general to me isn't something i'm totally for or totally against, like everything in life there are pro's and con's to it. I respect peoples beliefs and think if it helps them get through life, then who am i to say they are wrong? But, on the flip side it causes grief in many ways, so it's not so good. If people could leave other people alone and respect their beliefs, then we wouldn't have a problem. It seems to be people who are stubborn in their ways (both religions and non-religious) that cause the trouble and cause the arguments and it always gets heated. Some people might say it would be better if there was no religion in the world, i say it would be better if people could respect one another and let them do what they wish in life.

Mmmhmm, I agree with Skunky on some terms.
I'm not big for religion, but this topic is eventually going to disagree methinks.
A similar matter was the sexuality thread, that wasnt really a matter on a gaming forum and was closed due to ignorance, stereotypes, and the sort.
No idea if this will follow.

We are all adults (I think), if you act like one then there will be no problems in this specific discussion. Just because some of us might not believe in God or religion does not mean a topic about God and religion should be deleted. Key word "OFF TOPIC". If you wish not to discuss then quit complaining and go else where.

I'm an athiest. But that's only with respect to something that other people would identify as God.
I don't believe in anything supernatural either. Ghosts, astrology, palm reading, tea leaves. All in the same category as far as I'm concerned (ie. Nonsense).
The only thing you could say I trust ('believe in' is definately the wrong term) is the scientific method, and the evidence which can be logically deduced from using it.

I'm not out to shove my ideas down anyones' throats. If anyone is genuinely interested in talking to an atheist, then please private message me. The worst thing that happens in discussions like this is that one side second guesses the other, and goes downhill from there. I don't think this topic can successfully be discussed publically, but if anyone wants to ask me about atheism, and what it actually means, then please ask me.
Too much education is never a bad thing.
