my sister has an HP laptop, and an ex of mine really hated his HP desktop. is HP like one of the worst computers out there or something? Also when my sis's laptop adaptor broke or burned or something, she said the replacement parts were hard to get from them as compared to dell or another retailer.

I suggest surfing through e-bay. Last time I checked, I saw some gaming grade rigs (new, sold by small assembly corps) go for as low as 600 USD. I was specifically pointed to that direction by some tech savvy folks.

and if i build what sohuld i have in it, i plan to play dead space CSI NY and let 4 dead so is there any huge things i should put in? also if i decide to gut my existing PC can i use the DVD drive and HDD i already have?
