I think everyone's overreacting a bit, considering we've barely seen this kid and we're judging him from a couple of minutes in an interview and a rather emo haircut. I'm sure Stephen Moffat knows more about casting actors and what they're looking for, than us. He's not what I was expecting and I think he looks a bit ugly, but let's give him a chance before we start hating on him.
No, I don't really see the comparison.. The fact is, we don't know who this guy is. He's barely been in anything and Moffat hasn't done bad by us before. None of us can really judge him just yet. His appearance in person can't judge what his Doctor is going to be like, because his job as an actor is to play a part and be believable in that part, including the character's appearance. Look at Christian Bale in The Machinist, he changed his appearance to play a part. I doubt he's going to have an emo fringe in Doctor Who, how he wants to dress in person is his choice. We could have said with Tennant that we were going to get a Scottish Doctor Who.
There's aready new on who may be the nexy new companion as well.
* The paper quotes executive producer Piers Wenger, saying that "Someone terribly exciting like Billie Piper, who was at the beginning of her acting career but who had a profile for other reasons, would be great. We are looking for someone whose light can burn brightly." The Telegraph suggests that this could mean performers such as singers Lily Allen (right) and Rachel Stevens or television presenter and actress Kelly Brook could be under consideration. The paper claims that Allen is "a favourite with bosses at the BBC," while Wenger says that "We would never cast anyone on the basis of their celebrity, but if Lily wanted to audition we would be delighted. It would be a lot of fun. *
I like Doc Who but haven't watched much of the series, but its huge in England, I love the Xmas Specials but onto this convo. I thought they can only have so many doctors before the Doctor dies, like he can change himself over 10 times, if this is the 11th, i'm sure this is close to being the last doctor to be chosen, or have they just dropped this idea and decided to let doctor who change himself forever?

Yep the only Timelord I can pick who has had more than 13 regenerations is The Master I caint count how meany bodys he's had it must be 17 regenerations two of them was taking over the body of the Trakenite scientist named Tremas and Bruce, a paramedic then I The Timelord gaive him a new set of regenerations for the Time War.
But I reckon and I evan said too my grandad and dad that they find some why to give the Doctor more regenerations I dought they will end it with 13 I got my fingers crossed that one day the Doctor Will regenerate into a woman what do you guys think whould that be a smart move or bad one I personly think it whould be a smart idea.
