  • graphics/drawing tablets?

i was wondering if anyone had one, and if so which would you recommend? i wanted to get one for a while now but wasn't sure which. i did some research on a wacom bamboo drawing tablet, and saw the cheapest was $64

i just draw as a hobby, so something really technical isn't necessary anyway

if you're just drawing for hobby, i'll recommend the Bamboo tablet

The Intuos series and Graphire are geared towards the professionals in my opinion

I use a 8 x 6 inch Genius MousePen tablet. Its a pretty decent size and holds up well for me. But I would have rather gotten a Bamboo Fun, since it got so many good reviews.

            thanks for the help guys!

and yeah genius was one of the brands i saw too, but i heard a lot about wacom so i figured it was better. fun costs more than what i'm willing to spend so i'm just going for the regular bamboo one. it's about the same dimensions anyway since it's small.

Bamboo is pretty good. I had to replace my Intuos when I upgraded to Vista. I would've gone with a Bamboo, but... the pen felt a little cheap and I found a good deal for them and Painter at the Corel store.

Btw, expect some slight lag issues in Vista because of the dumb Windows Tablet PC features which can't be turned off without it disabling the tablet. You can turn off the animated cursor though, and I recomend you do.
