need help on making an RE costume for a convention

im in a bit ofd a bind here, im about 400+ pounds and i wanna cosplay and a character from resident evil, so im thinking barry, or chris. My biggest prob is trying to find the vest needed for the adventure, i can dye my hair for barry or cut for chris. its the damn vest im having trouble with.

so if anyone knows of someone who does or sells vest like the ones in residnt evil give me a hit please?

What I did for my Chris Redfield costume, which I still have is buy a cheap short length jacket, with a breat pocket.etc. and cut the arms off, then pad it out underneath to give it the bulk of kevlar, worked a treat.

i have a green army vest i bought at a military/ outdoors store, i bought it for $75 i got a STARS patch on the back and a FOXHOUND patch on the front, but ne ways try a military / outdoors store. but again the vest r pretty expensive.

If I remember correctly, STARS use an M79 Vietnam flak vest. It might be M69, though. I can't remember the number, for certain. You can usually find them for sale on eBay.
