Not to be ironic or sound like a hypocrite or anything, but I think you guys have it in for me. I really do. I don't get how what I wrote warranted such a lashout.

Anyway, my posts here were kind of superfluous after properly reading the earlier entries. Can I have a do-over and just copy/paste what Jill's Boob wrote?

We don't have it in for you specifically. Ignoring our instructions and the rules, though, are gonna piss us off. Royally. Hell, Alexia did it once a while back and I gave her infractions. So don't pull out the, 'I'm being picked on' thing because when anyone, and I mean anyone, does this crap I give them a warning and then an infraction. Simple as that. I'm a bastard, and a harsh one, but I don't do favorites.

Our job is to make this place a fun environment for discussing Resident Evil and a few other things. Not to allow one set of fans to pick on another, not for people to try and start arguments (which are not discussions when you're calling someone a moron) and not to allow topics to degenerate into petty bickering and sniping.

Dot's given us the authority to order you guys around for this purpose, and we damned well need it. If you have a problem with me or Alexia then please,feel free to take it up with Dot and explain how you think we're being harsh or are picking on you. But until Dot overrides us you will do as we say, or you'll get infraction points. As will anyone else who tries ignoring us. It really is that simple.

Well I'm confused, then. You told me to basically calm down, and I answered your post civil like explaining why I posted what I did. Alexia comes in and threatens me with infractions or worse for answering your post, after having already given me infractions for answering her post in the Jill thread.

Incase you missed it, Alexia put a fork in the Jill discussion, and I questioned her logic in doing so since the argument clearly wasn't over (as evidenced by the existance of this thread). Alexia told us to drop the Rakkoon "slandering", which we did, but I still questioned her reasoning which was an entirely separate issue. For that I got an infraction and she deleted all parts of my post containing critisism against her, justifying it by saying I didn't drop the Rakkoon argument, confusing it with the new Alexia argument appearently.

I don't see how me critizising her moderating had any relevance to Rakkoon or how it was enough to warrant an infraction and have her delete anything of my post that put her in a slightly bad light, especially since it was constructive critisism and nothing really offensive. But people deleting what I've written is one thing that royally pisses me off. Especially in this case, since it seemed more like her using her editing powers to personally save face rather than to moderate the forums. Judging by her response to my rather harmless post in here, it's pretty clear she has personal issues with me that go beyond moderating the boards, so I doubt this is really as fair and equal as you put it.

Just so we're clear on this breaking the rules thing... Is it against the rules to argue a point with a moderator? Because that is essentially what Alexia is handing out infractions for, and personally I don't think it's healthy for moderators to be immune to critisism from regular members, or you risk slipping into some sort of superiority complex where you feel you're above everyone else and you want people to be afraid of you and what you can do. If you want to run a mature forum with responsible people you also have to be mature and responsible with your moderating tools, in my humble opinion, and not use them because you were personally "offended" by someone.

Go into your own profile and check "posts made by Rakkoon", and count how many of those posts are spreading positive energy in the forums, specifically regarding RE5.

Hilarity. That was a fine use of sarcasm, not a tool of deception but a means to truth.

But I move for this thread to be closed. We've had some laughs here, but for the most part, nothing good has come from this thread. In the immortal words of Rodney King:

This site has functioned just fine since its inception, and will continue to do so. You can't please everyone.

Final note: I stand by my assessment that BSAA Jill is a weakling in Mercs. I was later told she is amazing with headshots (from her pistol), but when you're a pisspoor videogamer like myself, getting consecutive headshots is hard as hell! Why someone would "report" me just for thinking BSAA Jill is the weakest of the Mercs characters is mind-boggling!!

If you get told to stop arguing and simply switch the argument to another person...well, that's gonna get you an infraction. It's sorta assumed that when we say, 'Do not argue with this person' that equally means 'Also no not keep derailing the topic again with more arguing with someone else'.

And no, we are not immune from criticism. You wanna tell me what you think I'm doing wrong or ask me to justify an action? Fine. Contact me via PM or if you really wanna do some mud slinging in public start a topic for it. Do NOT derail a thread with futher bickering and arguing.

I won't close this topic, yet, but I do consider this part of it closed. If you wanna have a talk about exactly how and why we do things then feel free to start a new thread or, as mentioned, PM me. Or Dot. You always have the right to complain about any of us to the friendly local admin.

Right, I was one of the people who got infractions because I didn't end the conversation when the mods said it was over. Not that I blame them or anything, they didn't want a fight in the Jill topic, but the reason I didn't concider it over was because Rakkoon has obviously not learned a single thing from any of this. Listen, you have really got to snap out of it. Stop feeling so goddamn sorry for yourself, and learn that the world does infact revolve around the sun and not you... I can just picture you crying right now, and that infuriates me, since it's essentially because you feel a videogame character who you're obsessively devoted to was "misrepresented". You can backpaddle as much as you want, but that's basically it. That and your inability to cope with any critism of said videogame character, or any critism regarding your unhealthy obsession with her. Any critism at all infact. Stand up for yourself instead of complaining all the time and making these crybaby posts explaining how much you're suffering. You need to be able to take and deal with critism in life, so it would be in your best interest to read all these posts thoroughly and try to look at them from our point of view and see if maybe, possibly, you did something too to invoke such "hostility".

This thread reminds of the "I'm leaving this site sucks now pity me" threads that popped up on the old SCU(Soul Calibur Universe) fourms every now and again eventually the admin got tired of the constant bullshit some people posted and closed shop which was a shame cause it was a good community for the most part And I don't want to see the same thing happen to this site. Rakkon people will disagree alot but when a great deal of your posts are about how RE5 sucks because of how Jill was "raped" as a character it kind of gives off the impression that it's just Jill's blonde hair/ponytail that you have a problem with...which comes off as whining/complaining/bitching to people.Hell l consider myself a Jill fan(see my username and avatar) But I don't go on and on about her anymore outside of her thread people are just sick of people complaining about her in every other thread.

Negativity? I was negative about RE5. Not about people. Well, true, I am being negative about people in this topic, but it was some people's negativity towards me that provoked me to create this topic in the first place. Just like you can't kick back when I 'badmouth' RE5, I can't kick back when you 'badmouth' me. In the end, sadly, it's all negative energy. I agree with Jill's Boob and his Rodney King quote here. I hope you didn't mean that sarcastically.

And let's get something clear here. Jill was never the reason for me ending up thinking RE5 was a 'joke'. I just didn't like her visual representation, and being quite emotional over RE5 at the moment, I ended up making emotional posts about Jill's hair as well, since I was writing in the Jill thread after all and I was TRYING not to be completely off topic. Should I change my avatar and sig pic for people to stop associating that with Jill fanaticism? I find this immature at best.

P.S. You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize how when you blame others you tend to blame them for what you yourself are guilty of. I'm not only aiming this at certain members of this forum, but also at myself. Any form of judging a person is basically a suicidal act.

Someone later posted that BSAA Jill is awesome with headshots. Once I learned that, I adjusted my initial statement to say she is a "weakling" to me, who sucks at building combos with a string of headshots since I suck ass at games.

But feel free to keep trying to "spin" me as the ultimate bad guy. I meant it when I said I would no longer respond to your posts (I take exception to this thread, since obviously it concerns JUST me, since you respond to almost no one else except me) as I feel like it is something you fret over. I actually don't want you to have an unpleasant time here, despite what you think. In most of my posts here in this thread I encouraged you to get over the self-pitying and just "join the community" and discuss RE with everyone.

Well, I've only unlocked half the Mercs characters so far. Out of the few I have, BSAA Jill is the weakest link and I just figured that would incite the Jill fanatics even more than other trivial things such as her hair color.

So you figured that would 'incite the Jill fanatics' and that's why you mentioned it? I mean, you could say Jill's a transvestite and I wouldn't care, but if you say it because you figure it would incite the Jill fanatics, that's downright hostile.
