Cheers I've never tried watching Dr Who, though I hear good things about it.. I did grow up with UK TV obviously (Byker Grove, nooo), but wasn't too fond of much other than Alan Partridge (ridiculously short). My humour = Alan Partridge. I can just watch it over and over.
Breaking Bad seems to takes forever to come out with new seasons, at least so for me as I started watching it very early on..

So thats 12 scripts they're working on trying to make as good as possible. Season 1 set the bar pretty high and there is a lot of really good material to use in the later graphic novels...but they did write themselves into a bit of a corner because they only used like the first graphic novel for the 6 eps, but they didn't finish it and now they're talking about using two very famous characters from graphic novels 7-9.
I can see where they're headed with the show from the graphic novels perspective and the tv series perspective but there is a bit of conflict with both materials.
But so far I do think that the tv series itself is stronger than the graphic novels, but thats primarily because of what Robert Kirkman said about the earlier graphic novels. Everything happens really fast and the pacing doesnt slow down, thats because they were worried they'd get cancelled early on.
They're getting to take their time more with the TV series and the result is impressive.
We'll all just have to wait...they're also looking at getting Stephen King on board to write an episode.

So anyone else think the Smallville finale was pretty crap? Spoilers etc
Spoiler:
Darkseid fight was epic ass, so he can fly and just floats a few meters and insta kills him. Took an entire series to do what is equal to a running punch? Really? The Lex memory loss thing was a complete cop-out, the gold kryptonite threat was over in 2 minutes as was Olivers omega issue, the same 2 minutes in fact, just farted those two issues out the way in one go. So much time wasted will crap 'memory' shots from past seasons, perhaps made worse, if possible, by the fact they used the very same scenes we've been seeing constantly in the intro to the show for 10 years, just incase we forgot after watching 200 or so episodes.
Of course the biggest failure was the suit, 10 years and just when they finally go to show him clear in the suit they cut to a comic book picture (speaking of comic book the entire episode Chloe reading a story thing was crap).
Ugh, I hate finales.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

^Diane, it struck me again earlier this morning, there are two things that continue to trouble me. And I'm speaking now not only as an agent of the Bureau but also as a human being. What really went on between Marilyn Monroe and the Kennedys and who really pulled the trigger on JFK?sigpic
