        I disagree with that.
Yeah, I think we'll disagree on this one. Yes, I saw a lot of nasty TV movies when I was young. And I don't think it did me any good. I saw someone glassed in the street and set on fire when I was a kid. Don't think it did me much good either.

Honestly? I can think of no reason, no reason whatsoever, to justify exposing a child to that level of violence at a young age. I may allow things like a mature 13 year old playing an 18 rated game, maybe. But I'd never let an 8 year old do it.

Hell, I've seen how my four year old copies things. I'd never, ever let him watch a violent movie because I think it would do a lot of bad things to him.

The only shows I really watch with conviction are The Simpsons and Twin Peaks. Too bad one of them hasn't been funny for maybe 8 years and the other hasn't been active for almost 20 years. I'll third a recommendation of Twin Peaks, it's one of those shows that you'd become obsessive about for a period of time. Corrin got it right, it has multiple genres all molded into a mystery drama, and the film (which you should see AFTER YOU'RE FINISHED WITH THE SERIES) is a visceral piece of media. The show and film even have some segments worthy of the best horror films.

"as for seeing a guy gutted and caught on fire a kid does not need to see that, the older the kid gets he starts to relise there are violent things and people out there, he will think it but that does not mean he has to see it with his own 2 eyes. plus people now and days kill for fun and a kid who sees someone doing that might get the idea that violence is the answer to everything."

I watched Silent Hill the other day with my little brothers ages 7 and 10. I think violence and gore is okay, as long as it isn't real.

When you have a child in 10 years time or so, come back here and say that you disagree that kids shouldn't be subjected to seeing people with their guts hanging out.

Actually, I let my little brothers.,, and I'm pretty sure my mum doesn't mind this, see a guy with his guts hanging out. Silent Hill, for the win. Of course, that isn't real. I would never let my brothers go to Rotten.com.

He was pretty good in Talladega Nights, and The Producers.

Definitely one of the most profound, humane and gritty shows ever to have been created. Truly special...
Who's your favourite characters? Mine has to be Jimmy McNulty (really likeable guy) and the Senator ("sheeeeeeit!").

I didn't like the movie too much. It wasn't that it was bad...it just wasn't the same as the show. It also felt really pointless, except for the fact that it cleared up the destiny of agent Cooper.

The Wire is truly magnificent I love it's realism.

Fire Walk With Me is much more complicated than every episode of the series, I watched it two times in order to understand what the hell is going on. It's a very good movie in my opinion.

Homicide: Life on the Street, I'd watch more of this except it shows at the most ridiculous times - around 3am in the morning. As such I've only managed to catch a few episodes.
