Most of the topics in Off Topic aren't nessecery...do I need to know why you guys are angry or happy, or what your favourite tunes are? Not especially. I don't especially need to know about this either, but it should be amusing in places.

For my drunken escapades...when I was in my first year at uni I was walking home after a night of drinking, stoped and looked at a small tree. There was a squirrel sitting in it. I walk over, slowly, and then slip. My hand goes out to support me and what do I grab? The squirrels branch. Branch bends, I let go, squirrel gets fired over the tree and far away.

Of course, I wrenched my arm and got scrapped up...but it was funny.

Was at a friend's party. I decided not to drink because we needed a DD. A friend asked to leave early because he had a family event the next day. Another friend stayed since you know...it was a decent party. She gets slipped a date rape drug. Betcha can't tell what happened next! Wow...what a great night that turned out to be, right? If I hadn't taken my other friend home, who knows if she would have had that happen to her. Or better yet... That could have been me! Wouldn't my friends and family would have been proud of me then?

I hate bloody date rape crap. I had a friend who nearly got knocked out by one...and she doesn't even bloody drink alcohol! Slipped it into her orange juice. If my brother hadn't been the barman there things could have gone to hell in a handbasket...

Sadly stuff like that happens all the time on Uni campus' too.
Back when I was at uni in '04 since it was a port town a load of US Navy boats were in port so we had alot of American soldiers around town getting drunk and causing havok.
Went out with some friends to the Union and a few Navymen were in there too, it was crowded and they were trying to chat up some drunk students, thought nothing of it till a friend *being an ex bouncer in Ireland himself* noticed one of them drop something in one of the girls drinks, ended up tipping off the bouncers and they yanked the navymen out of the union, didn't see them after that till the next day hanging around the area, but it looks like they'd been roughed up somewhat.

Got some fun drinking stories, but i'll keep them to myself as I quit alcohol for a reason :p.

Not much of a drinker myself, and certainly not one of those who join people on the dance floor or anything like that either. But I always get/bring something if I'm either invited to a party or if I'm at a bar or something. I've got a fairly good awareness of my own limits and in control of both my own body and alcohol consummation

Rarely go out while I'm back home (the company just isn't enjoyable enough), but while I'm traveling I tend to join my colleagues and international friends. Also often attend various company parties/gatherings.

Anyway, I usually get dragged along by other people every now and then (or stay way past my initially planned stay), usually because someone wants me to be their voice of reason and to keep an eye on them. There's been a few times too many in the past where I've been the designated carrier of those who can't walk for themselves anymore too. (I'm such a responsible and good person... No wonder I usually say I hate other people )

I have a pretty good one. My best friend and I had a party at my house a few months ago and ended up going streaking outside. She tried to sneak out through my window and fell into a bush. I tried to help her out but it was too hard so I ended up falling on top of her, both naked, and drunk off our asses. If not to make things worse, she said "Taylor, I LOVE you! you're so awesome and if I was gay, I would be gay for YOU man!" After she said that my other friend walked out, saw us in the bush naked together, and said, "I knew it." and walked back inside.

I try and tell people what REALLY happened that night but they all go "uh huh, sure." and don't believe me!

that just made my day.

There was nothing you could have done. Pieces of shit are pieces of shit, whether you're around or not. That being said, I would love to just get my hands around that piece of shit's neck and watch the life disappear from his eyes as I squeezed until I heard his windpipe snap.

And yeah this topic is 'for the lulz' and I guess was created to show drinking in a good light, to show all the good things and happy times that come out of it...but if we're gonna do that, we might as well tell stories about the other side of the spectrum -- the bad things that come out of drinking, right? It's not all fun and games, folks. I have a few horror stories about the lovely thing called 'alcohol' that I might share later if I feel like it.

Okay, if people aren't going to like this thread than don't complain about it. Just ignore the thread and move on. This was meant to be for laughs and giggles, and quite frankly I wrote this a little bit drunk and am now regretting I even wrote it.

If you have an idea of what the thread is gonna be about than why even look at it?

Not to sound like a bitch or anything it just doesn't make sense. Maybe its my hangover thats making me this mean... but if you want to read about something else just go back to the home page of this website and look at something else.


ahem anyway back on topic... My friend once got a date rape drug and I feel really bad that I wasn't at that party that night to protect her. I told her not to go in the first place (because there were alot of sketch people there) but she went anyway and ended up being raped. I never go to anyone else's parties to drink but mine. I just never feel comfortable drinking outside of my house. i guess thats why...

Only drink with your best friends, or family. Thats the advice I have for people just starting out with alcohol. Drinking is never fun when its around people you don't trust.

i acctualy had a friend back in Arizona,he was 19 and at a party and he was drinking with a guy who acted like he wanted to be friends,he got slipped a daterape drug to
infact hes in a mental institution right now for what happened to him,all because of a few shots of vodka,so sad

i ust to drink reguarly but im sort of giving up,the only reason i started drinking anyway was because of a glass..rather half a bottle really..of champagne,a few new years eve's ago.

Well, thats good! I wish you luck! I know I don't drink enough to be addicted or whatever, and I try not to drink too much. I just like to sometimes in social situations and on weekends. I barely get hammered anymore though. Last time I got really drunk was on thanksgiving... but other than that I just like to have my occasional bottle of red wine and cheese lol

one time i got really drunk because of irish carbombs,couldint walk strait for a week,i had THREE of them..the hangover lasted longer then a week to. thats kind of why im giving up drinking. atleast to the point of being drunk
