  • A sport you may not be familar with.

I know that quite a few of you on here are avid sports fans, some of you being interested in football/soccer, or perhaps even cricket or tennis. I've always been something of a cricket man myself, but there's one sport in particular that's had such a profound impact on my life, a sport that unfortunately to my current knowledge has yet to see a place on the list of sporting events at the Olympic Games.

I speak of course of Stare Out, a game that requires such a high level of concentration, professionalism and stamina. Some of you might be familar with it as "the other beautiful game", which is exactly what it is. A sport of champions. If you have some time free, I would like to link you all to some recorded footage taken from the 43rd World Stare Out Championships that took place a few years back now, in which we saw some truly fantastic matches, in particular the final between Alessandro Kampagnola from Italy and current reigning champion, Poland's Sigmund "Siggy" Spatsky - a breathtaking match that could have gone either way. There's also some highlights from the match between the Ukrainian, Roman Solowka and Russia's Yuri Uzliam, the latter of which defeated Solowka after a marvellous nine hour game back in 1968. Though none of these great men could ever compare to the legend himself, Giggles Clifton.

So without any further delay, here are some classic moments from the 43rd championships.

Let's enjoy again the biggest staring matches... Big Train classic.
