I heard there wouldn't be any CGI in the remake, but we'll see about that.

Glen's death isn't in the script, nor is his character. They changed a lot from the original.

I don't know, I could still see them using it, it's an iconic death.

            how do they portray her?

is it going to be like the Halloween remake where she went from the nice quiet girl to the annoying horny girl?

She's basically a gothic outcast with no friends. It's so sad.

Oh, I cringed when I saw the bagel scene.

And could you elaborate on the deaths and such, in spoiler tags of course. I think it's really the nightmares that are going to sell this for me, I'll turn off my brain until they happen.

wow, this isnt even like a remake anymore, its more like just another Nightmare movie where characters have the same names as old ones, who's going to tell her about the whole controlling you dreams thing like in the 1st one then

That really was a throw away line that could be given to anyone.

I'll try to keep an open mind until I see the trailer.

I'm excited to see it, I think remakes are really interesting and fun. I know allot of the horror movie fanbase despises the treck on such holy ground but after so many years have passed since the original movie was released and based on how closed minded movie goers can be in terms of old movies, I think restarting the original franchise is the best way to keep it going. I was never a fan of where the Nightmare series went...by Freddy's Dead the series had gone far too comedic for my liking, so I'm hoping this time they'll maintain a nice dark sense to it. A joke here or there, wouldn't kill me though.

As for the off topic - Laurie in Halloween, I think she was just as 'good' as the original, with a little more dirty jokes and a little less of a pot head.

Sure, but if you'd like to see the script itself I could email it to you.

Wow, sounds grotesque. The only remake I'd like to see is Hellraiser, and have it directed by the same director who did "The Cell" and "The Fall"...it would be the most beautiful horror flick ever lol.
