Haley was the best part of Watchmen, given his voice and mannerisms I can understand why they would go for him as the new Freddy, but no way he'll top the original.

This sounds terrible, why don't they just make an entirely original movie for once instead of making a million remakes?

because hollywood is running out of ideas so all they can do is remake good movies and make them shit.

But how far is this Remake thing going to go? I mean in 50 years are we going to be seeing 300 the remake? or Transformers the Remake? I mean remaking 50's Sci-Fi's is bad enough but there is no need to Remake 80's movies, hell i bet one day they will try and Remake movies like Star Wars and Alien or Indianna Jones, Hell Lord of the Rings even. that will be a sad day for all of mankind.

I fear for all my favorite 70's and 80's movies now. It's not long before Terminator the Remake is released then a Remake of Back to the Future is announced.

most likely i wouldnt doubt it. but you gotta think that alot of movies are still gonna be remade and remade into shitty movies that were once great.
            theres 2 things i no
            1. im glad that the director of The Breakfast Club wont let anyone remake TBC even when he passes away.
            2. The director of the remake of FT13th asked the woman who originally played as Jason's mom in FT13th1 was asked to play as Jason's mom again and she shot the offer down cause she was pissed that they were remaking a classic slasher film.

Well that's good news, i just hope George Lucas doesn't ever allow Star Wars to be remade.

Has there ever been a Remake that was better than the Original? Other the REmake?

And The Thing is being remade, and Total Recall and a bunch of other Recent films as well like Scream. What the fuck is wrong with hollywood at the moment?

WHY!? Well, I've known for a while, but they actually started for a NOES remake? I loved the original: mysterious, dramatic, suspenseful...scary. The remake is probably gonna be a teen-gathering slasher w/ boobs (even though I'm a teen myself, I don't like these mainstream horrors). Haley might be good as Kruger, but what about Nancy? Langenkamp was great at her. And no Glen? Huh... sorry about my bitching, but I am kinda mad; twas' my favorite horror (along with the original F13) as a younger kid. Well, I'll just wait and see.

and maybe that will give the directors a i-fucking-dea

Yeah, I was a little surprised with that one. Remaking a 90's horror film is just crossing the line.

It's only a matter of time before we get like a Jeepers Creepers remake or something
Hollywood should seriously try brainstorming for a change.
