Being single has its advantages, even though all my family is like I should find someone (anyone, they think my standards are way too high) and settle down. Not having a girlfriend means that I don't neglect her when focusing on different projects or games.

Yeah, same here man. I'm happy being single, tell you the truth. Sometimes I wish I had someone to share with, but romantic relationships are hard for me. Or I just put pussy on a pedestal. Who knows.

More time for music and games, I guess

But you have a manly epic beard. Beards can do magic.

Well, that certainly explains the long, meaningful stares...

            • As of March , single. And to think, I was actually going to propose to her at Otakon this year (perhaps not the most romantic of places for a proposal, but I thought it would be sweet, because we first met each other at Otakon seven years ago).

It was probably for the best, since I seem to have a habit of only attracting severely emotionally and/or psychologically damaged girls who don't want to be helped, but that doesn't make it any easier. Now I'm just kind of ambivalent towards the whole relationship/going out thing.

I think Emma took a serious risk visiting you, since your beard might see her as a younger host and latch on to her.
                See you in hell.

                • I once went out with a girl last year who was into bestiality. At that point she hadn't done anything in regards to it, but I got out while the getting was good soon before she could do anything.

                    I wouldn't rule anything out...

There's nothing like having to check the pets for psychological trauma to put you off a relationship.

So wait, why was she going out with you?

(That's not meant as an insult or cut against you, by the way. I just thought that someone who was into bestiality wouldn't, you know, be into humans so much.)

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't just be psychological.

I don't think bestiality is an exclusive thing for animals most of the time. It's just like an... addition.

But she had a great ass.

                          • Single! I feel too young to have my life taken over with such commitments, while having a GF is nice, I've enjoyed these past couple of years just doing my own thing and focusing on what I want to do. A lot of my friends are tied down, having children and even getting married, that's just not something I want right now. There's still things I want to work out in my life, like what I want to do with my self, and I want to spend as much time as possible actually getting there, as opposed to being distracted by the ups and downs of a relationship.

                            • Everyone seems to be happy with their status, whether single or in a relationship, that's nice to see.
I've been in a happy relationship for upcoming 9 months now, I've honestly never been happier with him.
It's amazing because we get along so well, he's into the same games as me (except horror, go figure. ¬_¬ haha) and everyone says we're perfect for each other.
Like what Emma said, we've been told several times we're like an old married couple which I found rather cute haha.
But yeah, everything's going amazing, and I'm so happy. <3

You and I seem to be very similar. I've never really had a serious relationship and it's not because I'm extremely ugly or anything like that. I have been approached by both sexes oddly enough, and in all truth, I am just not interested in a relationship.

I really like the independent feeling, and not having to answer to someone else. Some of my friends are in relationships and I'm always hearing about how they have to tell their boyfriend/girlfriend what they are doing, and in some cases the boyfriend/girlfriend gets annoyed because they aren't hanging out with them. Stupid.

I think my lack of interest stems from being an only child. I've talked to other only children and some of them are like me: Not really interested in relationships, not interested in children, et cetera. I believe the psychology behind this is because when you're younger you aren't really interacting with a lot of people, so you turn inward a bit and become extremely independent (which I am).

I also like the idea of spending my money on myself. Call me selfish, but it's nice to buy $400 coats and $60 video games when I feel like it and not have to think "Gee, is my anniversay coming up? Do I have to take her out to dinner tonight? Does the child need braces?"

I can see the appeal of a relationship though.

                                @Enrico Marini
Are you an only child? I'm curious. Or did you grow up in a situation to where you pretty much were an only child?
