Post deleted so those for those who haven't seen The Thing, and also for those who have and wince at it like I do.
Either way, say what you will about the tension in John Carpenter's The Thing, the effects are what get me. I would call it eligible for this topic because that movie (along with The Shining and other scenes/films) I would consider myself slightly phobic of. I avoid seeing the films unless the mood is right and there are other people. Despite the mad appreciation I have for it (and obviously without giving anything away)...WHO THINKS OF SUCH NIGHTMARISH IMAGES?? The only time I would consider imagining things like that is in a nightmare.

I suddenly have a new fear. Something very important will happen on THIA, and regardless of all the days I'm on here, I wil somehow completely miss it. Examples: D.C. Douglas/Ken Lally posts, the jill sandwich contest (I made a jill sandwich and had it for my avatar for the longest time ), and that other contest where you got your name put into the RE5 manual...damn it."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

I used to be terrified of zombies (caused by playing RE, then one of my Uncles' left the house and was in an accident, I was the first person to see him and with his injuries - my mind clicked at such a young age that he was a zombie, scared the crap out of me), until I go back into RE and got over it.
Spiders too, but I've gotten used to them now - as long as I don't have one on my head and/or face then I'm fine. Aside from those two, which I have now gotten over the only other thing I fear... well more or less intensely dislike... is roaches. Ugh, those things disgust me and they make me feel absolutely squeamish. I can now withstand having a friend's Huntsman/pet spider crawl up my arm but the sight of a roach makes me stand up on a chair.
*Shuddering at the thought of roaches*

This makes me extremely uncomfortable. I even had a difficult time getting the link to the photo because I had to look away.
When I first played Silent Hill 4 and walked into this room I immediately screamed and threw a pillow at the screen and had someone else turn the game system off.
Idk why, but things like this really scare me. I'm also afraid of very large statues of people that aren't the size they are supposed to be

Disgusting insects). Then as soon as I got dressed and went outside, I saw a giant snake and a visitor we had over saw it and fainted as I watched it slither past the front door. I have terrible luck, but I'm glad I don't fear snakes because of my location... I'd be pretty much screwed.Last edited by REmaster; 06-18-2009, 01:41 PM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

^ Yea, what makes the above SH4 scene even creepier is that the whole time your in that room, there's all these orgasm sounds lmao. That, combined with that creepy face staring you down makes for a very akward situation.Last edited by REmaster; 06-18-2009, 01:51 PM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."
