It's all in the title. Other than flesh eating zombies of course, my worst fear is being eaten alive by a shark. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE sharks, I've studied them since I was a kid and I even have a massive collection of shark memorabilia lol. However, they pretty much scare the crap out of me. Not so much the smaller ones (which I've swam with), but the bigger/more aggressive species such as bull, tiger and great whites. The thing that scares me the most about a shark attack is the fact that you usually wouldn't be able to see much. Being attacked by something you can't see is a scary thing.
On top of that, your in the shark's territory...which becomes pretty damn apparent when your trying to swim away. There you are, slugging away and here comes the shark, bolting towards you in lighting speed. If there's one positive thing about being eaten by a shark, it's that most of the time people don't feel too much pain, depending on the level of attack. A combination of your adrenaline pumping along with the surgical precision of the shark's teeth, many people didn't even know their leg or arm was gone until they reached the shore, or they notice they're having trouble swimming.
