The Last Airbender - Movie (2010)

I really liked this show and while I like the idea of seeing a movie, I don't think its going to be good. I've seen the trailer, and I'm afraid they aren't going to follow the cartoon as closely as I'd like. I also don't think this movie made by M. Shyamalan is a good idea. His prior movies don't seem to make him a good fit for this genre.

I wonder how much of the show it'll be like if they do make it...will it cover all the " book " or what ever?

I just hope that it is good, and that they don't screw it up. If they do I'll be sad.

I don't think they'd screw it up...the TV show wasn't as big as it should have been..the movie can only make it better.

I thought the TV show was great, the philosofy behind it was EXCELENT.
And I think the books will be respected, I saw an interview a while back were M. Night sed he tryed to put everything he could, but at the end he and the creators of the TV show had to make it shorter, so some unecesary parts are not going to be there. I just hope it is funny and childish as the TV series is, because if it's all action and "I'm going to save the world no matter what it takes!!" stuff, i'll be disapointed.

Don't know about the director for this. I have a very bad feeling that he will mess this up bad.

But I'm pessimistic. Hopefully it WILL turn out at least half decent.
