Most Overrated Films and Games.

This is a rant, these are my opinions, so would people please not quote, belittle or argue the cases of my views, I won't answer back.

Games:

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
Good, not great, and unbelievably overrated to the point where the world has raised Fumito Ueda on a godlike pedestal that he could quite frankly wipe his arse and we'd call it a arthouse gaming masterpiece.

Movies:
Speaking of Overrated Garbage, anything made by Quentin Tarantino.
Considering its common knowledge he watches movies, catalogues speeches and scenes and files them in order to reuse them later under the guise of "homage", this cancer merchant of a director molests and repackages Japanese cinema, throwing vulgar dialogue and weak pop culture references in to give it his own spin.
The guys in no way an auteur, he's an arsehole.

I think Tarantino is alright, but I never saw what was so special about him either. His movies were just as good as everyone elses.

Halo's been mentioned a lot, so I guess I'll add to the list. XD

Fallout 3. I just can't get into it. Everyone raves about it, but I just didn't find much fun in it. Although I was glad to hear Liam Neeson's voice.

I just don't really like WRPGs in general, JRPGs are where it's at for me. I liked FFVII a lot, but I've only played through it once and haven't really felt the need to play through again. Definitely overrated.

It's always good to hear Liam Neeson's voice.

But I disagree, i much prefer WRPG's to JRPG's.

I liked Death Proof. It was slow to develop, lots of character development, lots of dialogue, lots of fleshing out -- all of that for naught. And I thought that was actually pretty brilliant. Kurt Russell was such a scumbag weasel in that movie and I loved it.

lol. Hmm...Jason Fucking Statham. I can't watch a movie anymore without Jason Statham breaking down the door and kicking everyone's ass.

World of Warcrack is a very good answer.

One of the most underrated horror movies - Event Horizon. And its directed by Paul Anderson.

Some of the Russian movies are underrated aswell. Russian cinematography has gone a long way since the fall of Soviet Union. If you can get your hands on movies like "9 rota" (Spetsnaz detachment in Afganistan war), "Brat" (or "Brother", Russian mobsters in New York) and "Brat 2", you could go on from there. Im a firm fan of Hollywood and believe it to be the only place that makes good movies on a consistent basis, though.

ANyway, forgot to mention World of Warcraft, what a waste of time, yes i've played it, Yes I had 2 level 80's, Yes I was in a big guild, YES I had top class gear, yes I had an epic flying mount...now what?
Oh right, DAILIES!!!! lets do those every day for no reason besides trying to validate £8.99 a month playing a game you've for all intents and purposes finished till the next frigging expansion comes out.

Glad I cancelled.
