What type of music does your band play?

I think guys would be more suited to metal, girls more suited to singing softer soothing music, and both are good at pop and rock.

yha we play metal/hardcore and she couldnt do it plus her being late cause "she had to look good for practice" (wtf?) so yha its a bad move.

...that girl, certainly, was a bad move. Trust me. I've met men who spend hours a day on there hair, there skin, there clothes, more than any woman I know certainly. Other girls will be hard working and dedicated to a band they join.

        Plus, Sharon den Adel.

Theoretically, singers should be the most punctual out of everyone, since they have the least amount of gear to bring to a gig/rehearsal. They just have to turn up, croon and look pretty while the rest of us poor musicians carry 10x12 Trace Eliot cabs and heads up very steep flights of stairs! After shows, i'm normally left with neck ache (from rocking out too hard), sore fingers and knuckles (from playing bass too hard) and painful forearms/elbows (From carrying too much heavy gear around) - Big woot!

Just thought i'd give this thread an update since a lot has happened lately...

I've written 4 new songs in the last few weeks, bringing the total number of tracks written for the album to 8. So far it's clocking in at about 42 minutes. Phase one nearly complete!

One of these new songs is called "Uroboros" and i've sneakily requested that the singer who has agreed to pen lyrics and vocals for the song slip in the lyric "Complete Global Saturation" somewhere Gonna be fun!

I'm probably going to post a medley featuring a clip from every track when i've written them all, i'll keep you updated. Thanks again for checking the stuff out if you have...

The mixing is not doing already in the track Curse of Baphomet right? Because the instruments sounds well distributed, but there are some problems in the mixing, however very good works, and a singer (a girl ) would be awesome for that style (but they are good for every style )

I like very much Alomar, the organish synth melody in particular, but the preview is too short

Thanks for listening, and yes - The mixes aren't final. All of these are just the demo versions.

I did a silly and pretentious 'introduction' video, it has some clips of some new songs so give it a look! Dumb suprise in the last 5 seconds.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Mr. Quinn... You're good people. Your music is really cool, and you have a generally great view of why music is so important. Keep it up, man! I look forward to checking out your album when it's done!

I enjoy some hip hop but i'm not sure if it'll be the same stuff you like. More leftfield stuff like Anticon/Doseone/Clouddead/Dalek as i said in the other thread. It's interesting because the music is grounded in hip hop but not afraid to venture elsewhere.

                              Hey guys,

The new songs are coming along nicely! I've got enough for a full album now but i'm going to keep writing as the newer songs are getting continually better and are a lot better than some of the older ones, so rather than fill the album with older songs i may as well weed out the lesser tracks and make the best possible album i can. As far as sharing music goes, i'm in a bit of a rubbish situation as i don't want to upload too many demos to my myspace page, but i do want to keep you updated on my recording progress. Bearing that in mind, i'm putting up a stream to Tinypic for now. You can check out another song here, though the link will only last for 7 days or so.. So please, check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Edit - It seems the last few seconds of the song were cut off.. Oh well. It's nothing too important
