  • Trivia/Fun Fact Thread.

The forums are being a little slow lately so i thought it would be fun if we had a Trivia/Fun Fact thread with interesting and obscure tidbits of information about Films, Games, Books or just anything really.

    Ill start with this one...

Did you know that Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen have both each stared in an Alien, Predator and a Terminator film, and both have been killed by the creature in each film they were in.

              WOW! What game is that?

Did you know that James Cameron had a nightmare that he was being chased by a robot from the future that was trying to kill him. This is what inspired him to make the Terminator films.

Though credited to Ringo Starr, George Harrison is the actual writer of his hit It Don't Come Easy.

Yeah that's cause Cameron didn't make 3 and 4. So they weren't as good as 1 and 2.

Did you know that the small canyon that they used to film the scene of R2-D2 getting zapped by the Jawa's in Star Wars A New Hope, was also the exact same canyon where Indiana Jones tried to hold up the Germans with a Panzerfaust and rescue Marion and get the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Did you know that to perform the stunt drop with Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber) falling out of the window at the end in the original Die Hard, the stunt coordinator counted down from three and dropped him on two to get the desired effect?

Still think that's a bit wonky. It's a very icky case of people making something worth more than it kinda is 'cause one nut somewhere was willing to pay that much for it when one was available. The original NWC carts usually goes for way less than that whenever they exchange hands.
