I'm not sure how many of you guys and girls are MMA fans, but here's a thread to discuss past & upcoming fights in the UFC. UFC 100 has come and gone, and Brock Lesnar is still the Heavyweight Champ. I don't really have anything against the guy, but I think it will only be a matter of time before someone with much more experience gets in there and destroys him. George St. Pierre put on an amazing performance, retaining his welterweight title. The whole card was pretty exciting, although I must say I was really hurt by Bisping's tragic end at the hands of Dan Henderson. Many people don't like...scratch that...Hate, Michael Bisping.

I know he's really cocky but I think he makes the fights exciting. He had never been knocked out before, had never been finished and had a 18-1 record going in to the fight. His trainer kept telling him to move out of the way but he kept ignoring the advice and eventually he got caught hard by one of those who right handed semi-trucks that Henderson was throwing. Henderson than went a step further and did a flying punch to an unconscious Bisping, which was obviously out of revenge and pure hatred for the UK fighter. My personal favorite is Lyoto Machida, the undefeated Light heavyweight champ, he's a very calm, collected and talented fighter. After him I'd say Anderson Silva, Bisping, St. Pierre and Keith Jardine are my personal favs.

I prefer K1 enough said, i'm not into ground and pound I find matches that end that way boring Muay Thai ftw.
If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

I love the UFC, it's a great sport and has overtaken boxing as the king of physical contact sports. My favorites would probably be Rampage Jackson and Georges Rush. Rampage in Pride was a monster

My two favorite's seemed to be the most hated in Ufc. Brock Lesnar and Anderson Silva. I can't believe they made Brock apologise for beating the living shit out of Frank Mia. How you gonna apologise for doing your job right? Silva is my favorite between the two though. His matches are so exciting to watch they can end any second. Flying knee's, elbow uppercuts, the man is so inovated. He has a million way's he could knock you out.

I like Lesnar also, I think pple hate him cus he came from wrestling where everything is fake, I guess pple don't want to admit that they can make it in a real physical contact sport.

thats wrong. the only thing fake about wrestling is the punching and kicking and a few other small stuff. You cant fake a suplex. or a fall from 15ft up or higher

im pretty sure thats not fake.

Second time i've seen you talk UFC and get things so horribly, horribly wrong.

No one MADE Brock do anything for a start. Brock apologised for his huge lack of respect AFTER the fight in sticking his fingers up at the crowd, mouthing off at a still dazed Mir, criticising one of the companies biggest sponsors, and saying what he was going to do with his wife in the post-fight interview.

And also...since when has Anderson Silva been most hated? The guy's incredible, everyone loves him!

Lesnar is doing good for the heavyweight division, even if people hate him it's simple, people pay to see a person they hate get beat, Lesnar is already a big marketing tool for the UFC, and he'll be even bigger now after demolishing Mir, who I might add got lucky in the first fight and knew full well Lesnar kicked his ass

Are we here to discuss one of the fastest growing sports on the planet...or shall we split hairs about the differences between "choreographed" and "faked".

Well thank god you where there to correct me on it. I only see what make's it onto you tube so I'm not 100% up to date. As I said I only watch it because of Brock and Anderson. My brother is a pretty big fan though and he is always telling me about people slagging of Silva saying he is under achieving and getting lazy in his fights. So maybe you got that one horribly wrong.

As someone who's seen his fights though...i know i'm not. Silva's amongst the best business, period.

                            For further evidence of this...

Not factual, but pretty solid evidence backing up my point.

Awesome I totally agree he is the best pound for pound. Check out the Thales Leites fight though they are definatley booing him. Seem's to me that alot of Ufc fans like the underdog.
