Because the comments were in reference to something that happened that day, and she could say she felt they were aimed at her, which they obviously are. These are things I see happening daily in the workplace. ANYTHING which could be viewed as bullying will help her out. If I argued with a BG engineer and then Facebooked "some BG engineers are useless twats", I'd get a bollocking tomorrow, name or no name.

But they wouldn't. She just needs to accuse her manager of bullying and use that to back her argument up (and try and find other examples) and they can't do shit. You have to know how to play the game. I once knew a guy who sat opposite a high level manager in the office. He used to whisper "prostitute, whore, bitch" but only so she could see and no one else. When they had a meeting about it, he just called her more names. When she reported him, he just kept saying she was bullying him because she didn't like him and was trying to get him in the shit. He got away with it and was eventually sacked for something completely unrelated, porn on his PC or something. Doesn't work like a court, needing hard evidence.

It isn't, but it's extremely suggestive and will be enough to give her employer the shits so they don't sack her. Her manager is acting unprofessionally, so I'm sure they'd rather overlook what minor mistake she's made if she starts threatening them with unfair dismissal claims, etc. One guy in our office got 30k compensation for that.

Angry, you wanna talk angry? After being in quite a bit of pain the last two days and not being able to eat very much, if anything at all. I went to the ER today and was poked, prodded and cat scanned for nearly the entire day. And what does the doctor say, "You have Crohn's Disease." yay, thanks for being so forthcoming and swift about it.
Put a real damper on things, as I've been in a great mood lately...Never get too happy, you will be punished.
