My favorite is most definitely Day of the dead (1985). I feel it has one of the strongest stories and some of the best characters.

Wait, I have a question...
Both Dawn of The Dead and Day of The Dead remake's aren't Romero's movies are they (as in he wasn't involved in directing/script)? I've always considered them more like reinterpretations, since they only hold some similarities, but that's it.
Anyway my fave Romero movie is between Day Of The Dead original & Land of The Dead, since those two flicks give some insight in zombie evolution...
