Low quality condoms? Pah. The pull-out-and-pray method always worked for me. Except when it didn't...

Anyway. My wife is doing better today, and will hopefully be home in two or three days. Mostly they're making sure there are no complications, pumping her full of anti-biotics, stuff like that.

And because I'm a generous soul, here are some pictures.

Congratulations DM. The baby looks cute and now you can stop panicing until your children are older and you have to worry about how to pay for college.

Why worry about that? I have the chosen banks all lined up.

              It's entirely possible.

Alexia reminded me I forgot a couple of details...the baby is a she, was 7lbs and 10 ounces and is named Mirabelle.

Blame it on the stressful time. Understandable that you forget things. What do the other kids think of their newborn sis?

My wife should be home in a few days. No one's clearer than that. She's hoping it'll be the day after tommorow, since she hates hospitals, but it may be longer. Or possibly shorter, if she has her way...

As to the older kids...they seem excited. They didn't meet Mirabelle during the birth due to, well, pure panic on everyone's parts but I was able to show them a couple of short video clips (which have been banned from going online, as my wife has no desire for anyone to see her in her current state) and they both seemed pleased. This may have something to do with the presents the 'new baby' got for them...
