I didn't say you had to be a child to enjoy it, i merely said the one handed cockerspaniel applesauce slam was awesome (Which it clearly is with a name like that!)

While i respect your opinion on Wrestling being akin to Theatre and Ballet in terms of performance art i'm going to have to respectfully disagree. Like you said, there's an awful lot of cruitidy involved in professional wrestling that just doesn't sit well with me. Comparing it to ballet just seems obtuse, since the choreography in ballet is tight, precise and well executed. In Wrestling, it just seems sloppy. There's a rawness to it that probably appeals to some people, but no matter how professional these people are it still looks sloppy and amateur.

When i used to watch Wrestling (The first match i ever saw was WCW Sting Vs Big Van Vader, i was about 6 years old and i remember Sting breaking a rib or something...) it didn't try to be anything more than a bunch of guys with funny names dressed in funny costumes pretending to beat ten balls of shit out of each other. It was tongue in cheek, fun and funny, now i just find it plain funny and not for the reasons i just mentioned.

I'd agree that it was a slightly impressive spectacle then, but not now. I'm not sure if that is because my perspective on it has changed due to age or wether it genuinely has gotten more oafish and stupid. My money is on the latter, though.

But yes, that's merely my two cents on the matter. I'm sure it won't have the slightest impact on your enjoyment of Wrestling (as it shouldn't) but i just thought i'd put that out there.

Big Vader I remember him during WWF days, I see him at promotional sites especially independent circuit.

Hmm, I thought he was doing his own thing in Aus???
it's not the first time Hulk was to be signed to TNA he cut a promo a few years back but nothing ever materialized out of it, imo TNA needs to get away from making it the retiring ground of long time past stars, I know it needs a bigger roster but damn.

They need to try and get someone to draw, and this deal goes beyond just Hogan. I know bringing it past WWE stars hasn't worked in the past, but Hogan is as big as it gets really. And the Bischoff part of the deal will likely include more TV deals with Spike and possibly elsewhere, which is great. TNA has also been pushing younger stars, so I see that continuing. They may not have a perfect product, but the effort is nice.

For the viewer, they of course need to move away from the retirement home scene...but they're a business, they need to make money, and this sort of acquisition is going to help them no end. It's guaranteed that this week's Impact will have the highest viewings in their history, as will their upcoming PPVs.

Of course, they've done a good job of pushing Morgan, McGuinness just debuted well (desmond wolfe or whatever), Daniels, AJ, and Joe are still relevant, which says a lot. Now, there are still booking problems (which AJ has made clear), but the fact that they are relevant at all, let alone holding titles, goes a long way.

I'll be watching it on the 30th when it debuts on Virgin1 for a month it's been 8+ years here since wrestling was on a fta terrestrial channel hopefully shifting to a fta channel like WCW did will allow it to gain more viewers and win over WWE fans.

I'm not surprised Hogan signed with TNA as he has a book to promote and it will probably be a short term deal. Being a fan of WWE and TNA all I can say is competition is good for the business and hope if sparks some interesting story lines.

There is plenty to point to it NOT being a short term deal, as TNA is rumored to be getting a show on Monday Nights, possibly from 8-10PM, as a result of Bischoff and co.

                        Perry Saturn alive?
[quote]For those wondering, Perry Saturn is indeed alive. A photo recently surfaced on Facebook.com of the former wrestling star standing alongside a woman by the name of Lisa Kuhlemeier, whom he's believed to be married to. While he's gained a bit of weight, it's clearly him. Saturn,...

Gameplay of AA El Videojuego now known as Lucha Libre AAA 2010: Heroes del Ring

                              skip to 2:20
gameplay seems similar to Wrestle Kingdom imo, they look like their skating around the ring when walking which looks awkward

I have to admit that I feel some what impressed that this game is being produced in Mexico. I didn't know Immersion games was a latin american company, for a demo it looks really good and Unreal Engine always makes things look nice, I'll probably buy Cellfactor when I get some spare MSP
