Yea, that's why so many wrestlers overdose on pain killers. When ECW had it's reunion pay-per-view, the memorial session for all the wrestlers that had died since it went off the air was like 10 minutes long.

      • Wrestling=scripted

        • Duh lol. My buddy used to call the WWF hotline to see who would win Wrestlemania, a week before it actually happened. The point is, even if me and you have planned or "scripted" a match, it's going to take a lot of agility and strength to pull off the moves and actually make them look professional.

Than of course there are the numerous injuries that can occur during these scripted, plays if you will. Owen Hart of course fell to his death because of an obviously unscripted event but he died trying to entertain people. The wrestler Droz was accidentally paralyzed for life, and hundreds of other serious injuries have happened because of freak accidents or miscommunication.

I'm not the biggest wrestling fan in the world these days, but I grew up watching it and I appreciate those who put thier health on the chopping block to please the masses, especially in old school hardcore matches. It's mostly scripted and purely entertainment, but it is a difficult and dangerous sport.

          • Jake the snake just announced his retirement, which I surprised he can even walk or is alive. He would be a great teacher to young wrestlers and tell then what and what not to do when being a wrestler.

When was this? *not arguing at all, just curious*, Andre the Giant was well known for pulling pranks like shitting on other wrestlers beds etc.

                  Just saying.

                  • One of the Diva search contestants, a while back. No idea which one. They all look more or less the same, which is kinda scary.

                      • It was Rochelle Loewen, appartently she didn't know who Orton was and that is why he defecated in her bag.

                        • I don't know if she is REALLY retired permanently and besides she hasn't ruled out not returning to WWE.

                          • Well that's just the way it is I'm afraid.

I myself happen to believe very strongly that Christy Hemme should have at least won the TNA Knockouts Championship title first (and hopefully retain it succesfully at least once), before retiring as a backstage interviewer. But that's the way the cookie crumbles.

EDIT: The reason why I strongly believe that Christy Hemme should win a title before retiring, is that I've did a little research on her in-ring career a while back, and discovered that throughout her six years as an in-ring performer, she hasn't won a single title (singles or tag-team) from any promotion she's wrestled at (TNA, WWE, not even the indy promotions).

                            • Trish had nothing left to prove in the business and wanted to start a family. I could see Christy coming out of retirement in the future.

                              • She only retired because she IS to start a family is correct. She only left because she wanted to focus more on her personal life. AND she does have more to prove being the greatest female wrestler in WWE history.
