you forgot the part where she's half naked and as she's being chased and falls on the ground he clothes slowly start to fall off.

Even then in action movies, they enver seem to quell my desire for ACTION. I go into action movies knowing they'll be shit, but wanting JUST the action. Most fail in that. D=

While I'm on the topic of action and women, if a woman is tough in movies, she HAS to be sexy, and nearly nude. Sexy, cold, probably in leather, but the hero oh so melts her heart and they sex it up.

Nemesiswontdie: LOL, yeah. xD Not to mention if you have sex at all it makes you a slut and you must die, according to horror movies.

          Yeah I hate that too.

There some really bad and stupid cliches. I don't get why they always have to be cold and wear revealing slutty clothes. It never ends up making a good character and is just cheap eye candy. It it never lends any real depth to a character.

And because in B grade horror movies eye candy is a must. All the girls that take there clothes of die, and there characters get no depth and are considered nothing more than something to pretty the screen up by the intended audience (Teenage boys mainly). Whereas the ones that keep there clothes on usually get some small amount of development and live longer and die in the some dramatic scene or sometimes survive. It's just an easy cheap way of writing when the movie is focused on gore instead of on a plot line. All generic cliches.

But hay, that's why we have James Cameron films.

To even it out. His films always portray women realistically and proper. Which I think is great. And why he's one of my favorite directors. I think Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor are probably some of the most memorable female protagonists anyways, so it's nothing to worry to much about that B grade movies are full of cliches, they don't get much attention anyway.

Terminator 2 and Aliens for the win, I agree.

But people eat that crap up, I'm afraid. It seems that no matter how bad and cliched a movie may be, especially most "horror" movies released today, people will go see it.

Heck, some people (mostly teens) will go watch it just because of the fact that it's rated R and has gratuitous sex and violence. I guess it gives them some heightened sense of "coolness", if you know what I mean, when in reality, it just comes to show how easily manipulative our youth is becoming. Don't get me wrong, I've been dragged into that before...and I don't quite remember how I came to that sudden enlightenment regarding this, but...

I can't recall the amount of times I've been seen as weird, or even worse, gay in some way because I won't go desensitize myself in front of a campy, B movie quality R rated film, or more to the point, admit that I despise them.

I just don't get it. Nobody wants movies with depth and meaning anymore. If it's rated R with nudity and gore, people go watch it. Doesn't matter.

They say not to judge a book by its cover. Well, this certainly does not apply to everything as many recent Hollywood films have shown.

^ Couldn't have said it any better myself. And because of all this random, gratuitous sex and violence in movies with no story to them whatsoever, my friends think I'm just strange for wanting to save my virginity for marriage. Granted, they respect my choice, but they still think it's dumb.

Teenage boys + hormones + random boob shots and sex scenes = sex-crazed masses of today.

That's exactly it, Canas. That is the master equation right there, albeit it's missing lesbianism specifically. They love that stuff these days, don't know why, really.

And so do I, matter of fact. And it's about the same way with my friends, with the exception of a few them. It was mostly the other kids in my class in elementary school.

And don't even get me started with television. Aye, just thinking about MTV makes my blood boil...

I suddenly remember the sex scene in Underworld 2. And my pointing at it. And laughing.

I feel like the way women are portrayed in action movies is kind of comparable to the way men are portrayed in chick flicks: they're eye candy. Pretty much every movie I've seen Matthew McConaughey in, he's had his shirt off, showing off his upper body. The only difference is, women were oppressed for centuries and men weren't...and that's why it's "wrong."

And even if you disagree with my point, you can't disagree with the fact that sex sells...and that's why this happens.

Tch, try Underword: Rise of the Lycans. Sex scene about only 14 minutes in. Just as horrible.

Sex sells, sure. But should it really be the FOCAL point in movies these days? Are our standards that low, are we that bored with actual plot and depth? D=

As for your other quote about sexism, I'm not even going to address that.

I dunno...I don't really see movies that are like this.

You know what else irks me?

That they fight so hard against piracy, and claim they lose billions of dollars from it off a faulty equation they use, and then make billions to replace it from the chumps that will go see that R rated movie vaguely about a girl trying to escape a serial killer with 10% running scene, 40% blood and gore, 25% topless women, and 15% actual coital sex.

Note: Results may vary. 20-30% coital sex recorded previously.

Man, I'd buy a pirated movie out of spite for those scumbags at Hollywood.
