R.I.P Andrew "Test" Martin. You Will Truly Be MissedTest was an awesome wrestler and very charismatic. His tagteam with Albert and his stint with Stacy Keible...

I remember Test, he was good for a tall guy. Never seemed to get the break he deserved. My friend used to use him on Wrestlemania 2000 all the time, never did beat him.

Don't know how much of a wrestling fan you are, but, Captain Lou Albano recently passed away too. He was also in Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' playing her father in the video, wouldn't argue with as a father.
    Finally playing 1.5. Woo-Hoo!!!

Not sure what press you follow, but it's been covered everywhere pretty extensively by the British press. It's been all over the news channels and papers all week long, right up until his funeral which was broadcast live today, and will inevitably continue for a few weeks yet with ex-boyfriends looking to dish the dirt on him.

Not to mention, there's bound to be some suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The post mortem says natural causes...but is it not a little strange that him and his boyfriend took a man home, and whilst he slept in the couch his boyfriend was in the bedroom with this other man? Very odd.

But i'd guess the reason it hasn't shown up in this thread is that at the end of the day, he was largely second fiddle in a boyband that did very little other than the UK & Ireland. Not to mention the flopped solo career.

In the grand scheme of things he's just not that important...much like the majority of the names listed in this thread unfortunately. But hey, this is the age of the celebrity i guess!

I guess the band lost all international "fame" the moment we passed into the 2000s or something (and arguably better alternatives started showing up). I just remember them horribly well. You know... good memory mixed with socializing with girls and stuff like that

But, yeah, plenty of people who've had more than just their 15 minutes of fame seems to be dropping dead this year (regardless of whether or not they are still relevant as a media figure anymore.)

Captain Lou Albano passed away from natural causes a few days ago. For those of you too young to know he was an old school wrestling manager. Some of you younger and less well educated in wrestling lore will know his as Cyndi Lauper's dad in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

It most definitely did if you're in England, the damn papers haven't stopped speculating or reporting it since last week!

Holy FUCK. Did not expect this. Really sad, I love her.

Supposedly it was a heart attack.

Wow. That wasn't expected and certainly sucks
(@Brittany Murphy passing away, not your comment, Stu :p)

Oh well, 2009 is soon over, so it once and for all can stop taking celeb lives!
(Though, I guess we'll need a 2010 thread on the 1st of Jan or something)

Might as well add this one...

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry has died, one day after falling out of the back of a pickup truck in what authorities described as a domestic dispute with his fiancée.

                        He was 26 years old.

Brittany Murphy, huh? Wow... I'm speechless. I can't recall ever seeing a movie of hers, but 32 is so young, and my heart goes out to all her friends and family. RIP.
