Not really. The supernatural/Timetravel stuff really hurt the series for me. The last couple of seasons have been very dissapointing.

I think the recent series have been great on the LOST mythos. Show has been awesome all the time (only down things for me have been the lack of quality off series 2 and the half of 3) but it's strokes to different folks I would guess. Can't wait for tonight/tomorrow (how you are looking at it)

I think series 1 was the peak for this series, ever since then each series has gotten worse and worse. It's still a great show though. Season 6 is supposed to be alot like Season 1 so hopefully it will be a great year for Lost. I hope Locke is the only survivor.

Watching the Lost Special Episode, and I grinned when the introduction pretty much did what Ive been saying all along. Everything between S1 and S5 has been a waste of space and time.

I think you need to look at The Constant (Season 4) and The Variable (Season 5) again.

I think some of the stuff you see there will probably play a role in how they handle any potential "resets" in the timeline now (as at the moment, only "some" of the characters are resetting time, as the others are in the future already... or something...)

What I mean is, at the beginning of S2, its obvious that either the creators didnt know which direction to take, or they wanted to make it into a Home and Away on and Island type of drama (which they hinted on as being one of their initial plans). So the seasons between the first and fifth lacked in direction (although yeah, I admit, season 4 had its moments) and as time progressed, it felt as if they were trying to get with it somewhere, which improved S5 drastically over the previous Seasons.

So... Season 5 + Season 1 - Filler Seasons = Good times at the TV

I dunno. Based on how things seems to've gone... they made Pilot episode as a (TV?) movie script (if I remember correctly). So probably Season 1 was the one with the least direction and everything being done on a weekly basis. Although Season 2 and out seems to've more or less been answering stuff and introducing the elements that seems to've be playing various roles in the how and why for various stuff and building up towards what's going on now.

After all, they announced rather early on that they'd "only" do 6 season (was it with the announcement of the 3rd season?) Nothing more. Nothing less. And the ep count kept changing for some of the season too, and there was a lot of random stuff going on regarding how they were gonna handle things 'cause of the ep. count changes. So at least some sort of vague idea they must've had (after they turned into TV's hottest thing since The Dynasty) as for where to take things (just with the entire "how/why" being done on the fly)

But, yeah, there have been many ups and downs along the road. Some eps and portions that have been incredibly boring and never really went anywhere with anything.

They aired a recap episode a couple of days ago. It basically spends 45 minutes to sums up the basics on some of the main characters.

WOOOOW, don't know what to say, it was good and at the same time disapointing; but it was good, really good in my opinion. I really didn't know what to expect, so the result was ok. Spoiler:
