Hah, I've never heard anyone call Rammstein death metal before. I know Germans love their techno, but that's definitely not the hardest stuff coming from there. Even so, it would still be more of a fusion style. They always have this techno mixed in and they don’t have the screaming vocals.

that's what I've always heard it called, and I've never heard anything harder coming from "ze Germans" so I just smiled and nodded. They're probably classified as Industrial / Techno Metal, like my old favorites KMFDM, Laibach, Ministry, and who could forget good ol' Nine Inch Nails.
