BTW, for those that care, from what i hear Breaking Dawn has been greenlit, it'll be 2 parts (big shock), both parts will be directed by Gus Van Sant and they'll start shooting September 2010 for a release sometime in 2011. I got that info from some casting blog - http://www.acting-auditions.org/2009...-official.html I'd treat it as rumor, but it sounds pretty convincing enough. It's pretty obvious they'll go the 2 part route, Eclipse will come out in the middle of 2010 with a DVD release at the end of the year, so give a 6 month gap after that and it would be the ideal time to release part one. Also, and this is just a shot in the dark, it would give Miss.Myer enough time to finish Midnight Sun. Just saying, she can sit there as long as she likes complaining about "not feeling alone with it" (how emo) but it's pretty obvious she'll finish it and release it around the time the final movie/s come out. OR it'll give her enough time to punch out a sequel to The Host so they can start filming that trilogy.

Gus Van Sant would never lower himself so much as to direct a Twilight movie. That is one of the dumbest rumors I've ever heard.

If it's true, I am tossing every single Van Sant movie I have out the window, because I will have lost all faith in my favorite director.

Breaking Dawn should not be made. It was utter shit as a book and it's not going to translate well to the big screen. I mean, there's not one single fight in the whole thing. Hell, half of the book builds up to this big fight with these epic powers and the fucking fight doesn't even come close to starting. It was boring to read and it's going to be boring for people to watch.

Nope. But then I don't especially see the need to tell the same story from another characters point of view unless they can add a whole whack of new information and story. Even if I was reading Twilight I wouldn't be too likely to look at that one.
