I agree about the director, though. 500 Days of Summer was really good, so maybe there's a chance, a slight chance it'll be tolerable (or even great), and not just a teenage angst-fest of an adaption.

Don't see why they have to reboot the series. A new cast and director is fine but they could just continue the story and have a new villain. Sorta like they did with the Incredible Hulk. There really is no need for another origin story.

I heard that everyone was supposed to be replaced. The worst part was that Zac Effron was supposed to be Spidey. I really hope this is just a rumor >.<
