As in...the trilogy that died years ago? Uh...ok. Rather obscure but whatever. The first one was the best, but the second one had the guy that played Seth Bullock on Deadwood (Timothy Olyphant), so it was acceptable. Even with Patrick Dempsey, I deny the existance of 3.

edit: Imdb says Scream 4 is going into production in April of this year. It's been rumored at for years but perhaps they are actually going through with it. Lord help us. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1262416/

I suppose since a 4th film (blegh) is being made it warrants a thread =/

I hated it. The movies were so predictable and cheesy. Every time someone got killed I laughed and said owned.

I loved the third one even though it was a little racist because out of all the people in the room Ghostface went after the black guy first.

          Ghostface comes in
          Black dude: Oh shit!
Ghostface chases him after he stabs him and black guy runs away
          Black Dude:Oh...oh that motherfucker.

            Yup, I agree with this.

I still love the original...that opening scene with Drew Barrymore is so extremely memorable. I was a little kid when I saw it, and even as a horror movie buff, I was horrified to see her hanging from the tree when her parents got home. Neve Campbell was a HUGE crush of mine in my pre-pubescent years. I wonder how she's lookin' nowadays...

EDIT: Scream 4? Hahahahaha. No. Honey, no.

It's an on-going joke in all horror movies that the black one always dies first. I remember in the one-off Halloween episode of Two Pints (it's a Brit comedy show), the mixed race character says "The black one always dies first.. and no one here's black!" and she died first.

                  SPOILERZ!

That was the best part of the movie.

Anyways, I don't see anything wrong with them doing a Scream IV. I'm actually quite excited that the main cast, writer, and director will be returning, which is very nice.

Scream 2 & 3 were very cheesy sequels, I really don't think Scream IV can get any more worse than those. Seriously people, at least it's not another damn REMAKE! I'd take a sequel over that any day.

The one thing the first Scream is furthest from is predictable.

Saying "owned" a bunch of times to your television screen...now that's cheesy.

As to the Scream trilogy...the original was awesome, the second was pretty good (despite the mother seeking revenge tie to the first one [which I found to be a poor aspect of the script]), and the third film was pretty much an all-around shitshow (long-lost bastard brother is the killer, bulletproof vest, etc).

I have read that despite losing her virginity in the first movie, Sidney Prescott (the main character; portrayed by Neve Campbell) has managed to survive all three of the Scream movies thus far.

Hanged from the tree with her guts out. Gross.
