I was really hoping I would never read his name in this thread, or the ones to follow for many years. I'm a big fan of his work and I just so happen to finish the entire season of Spartacus again last week

He was very talented and a really sweet guy on and off the set, it's so sad that he's gone. Many of my family members have died from cancer, but most of them were in their fifties or older.

It's hard to believe how quick it can take someone, especially just looking at the guy's physique and seeing him kick so much ass in what seems like yesterday. Some battles can't be won, but it's the fight you put forth that will be remembered.

              Rest well Andy

If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

                  • R.I.P Andy. I saw that show not long ago and he was great in it, really shocking how healthy and fit he looked then all of a sudden he's gone. I knew he was suffering from it and that's why they delayed filming Season 2, didn't know it was THAT serious. Terrible shame.

                    • I'm shocked at how relatively young he was.

Cancer is like the GameShark of diseases.

                      • Just saw the news on BBC. Fuck, that's a shame he's gone, especially when there was nothing bug good things to be said about him as a person and how energetic and friendly he was. Shame he went too soon.

                        • It is highly disappointing when someone in the famous world that hasn't been touched by arrogance and over-exerted pride dies. Like REmaster said, Andy did seem like all around good guy. I only saw his performance in Spartacus, but I really like the little I did see of him. I was actually really disappointed when I heard he couldn't return to do Season 2 because of the cancer, and haven't seen any of the other seasons of the show.

Cancer is such an unfair disease; it is basically a time bomb just waiting to go off.

I shake my fist at you cancer. Take someone the world hates for a change.

                          R.I.P. Andy.

                          • The guy from the Spartacus TV series just died, and the guy who played Uncle Ben from the Spider Man trilogy also passed away! Sad, indeed.

                              Yeah, rest in peace.

He had a very interesting career (5 decades long).

Sorry to read about Andy's death.
