Intensity Pro if you have a PCI-e slot, and an okay harddrive. There is also the HD PVR, but I have no experience with it.

Explore Blackmagic Design products that include professional cameras, broadcast converters, DaVinci Resolve software and live production switchers.

As for me, I'm using the Hauppauge HD-PVR.

Depends on your preference though. I preferred something USB-based over a PCI card at the time.
It's handy if you can't fit a large TV in the same room as your desktop. I can still play on a TV, record it on my laptop and transfer the files later.

You'll have to handle a lot of wires though. Also it doesn't support HDMI (which is what I generally play my PS3 on, so I have to do a bit of work setting it up whenever I wanna record something). Reportedly some people had problems with it overheating or something but I haven't ran into any trouble with it so far.

In case you're curious, this is how it looks on youtube when recorded at 720p
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

(just set it to high quality)

I use this outdated hunkajunk called EasyCap, from a Hong Kong seller. Got it for 20+ dollars on eBay (You can get it for a few bucks now, I'm told), came with software. It actually works pretty good, BUT for the most seamless (best) experience, I have been encoding my videos in MPEG-2. The reason for this is because I have no choice but to play in that little screen you see embedded into this sentence.

I'd totally say go for it if your PC has the right specifications for it. Just make sure to check the seller ratings and the functionality of the thing first. I use this on a Windows Vista.

One more thing! The software, Ulead Video Studio 10.0, is kinda old and it sucks so for $7-10 bucks don't expect a ton of good functionality from it. It was designed for XP and below.

Composite, S-Video capturing coupled with youtube crappy encoding makes the videos look like turd, they'll have too much noise and the colour bleed is awful you need something with a component input/output as standard or everything is gonna look like it was recorded from a crappy vhs.

Anything with RGB-Scart, Component, HDMI, DVI, VGA, and your good to go be it a external usb dongle or a internal card although i've yet see one with a RGB-Scart input guess they consider it too cumbersome.
