Also, she was great in Inception. I dunno, maybe I just have bad taste. I mean, I like the RE movies.
Yeah she felt out of place to me in Inception, she looked like a 12yo kid for gods sake.

Anyway you like the RE movies?? My god haha.

Then again... the latest one I really enjoyed... My god what is happening to me!

She looks much younger than she is, yeah. She's in her mid-20s I believe. But I wouldn't say she looked 12 or anything... more like 18.

And yes, I know right? I must be the absolute scum of the Earth because I bought the trilogy on Blu-Ray and saw Afterlife in normal theaters then again in IMAX 3D. Obviously I'm just a terrible person.

And good, if you liked it, awesome! Maybe I won't friggin' be alone now. XP

        • I'd rather watch Resident Evil Afterlife than this movie. MC is not funny. Just my opinion.

            • While I have no problem with Michael Cera, I could see why people are getting tired of him. He's typecast, that's for sure, and the general public's a fickle bunch.

I was delighted to see Ellen Page in a different role for Inception. Honestly, I thought her smarmy attitude worked much better in Hard Candy, because she didn't bog it down with endless references to God knows what. From my perspective, Tarantino-esque "dialogue-y" dialogue (thanks, Cinema Snob) doesn't work well with high school students. In Hard Candy she could be referential, but she could do so by saying blunt, believable phrases such as "...and I fucking hate Goldfrapp." Plus her age is ambiguous, so it's not clear where she gets her clever speech.

Ah yes, I forgot that was here in that, man what a nuts movie that was, she was good as a psyco. But still looked like a 12yo, made the movie even more wrong

                      • Just saw the movie.

It was hilarious. And the video game/comic book style references were cool (A Link To the Past in the very beginning set the bar for me).

I want to read the comics now, too. Anyone here read them that can tell me something about them? Just how good/bad they are? In comparison to the movie?

                        • The comics are fucking awesome. Some parts are exactly like the movie, while others differ greatly, but the heart and soul are the same.

                          • Well that is cool. Gotta find me copies of it somewhere...

Probably order them online. Anyway, that's exactly the kind of answer I thought I was going to get.

                            • Yeah, it's pretty much a great franchise all around. The books are available in a boxset for $45 at Amazon; Totally worth it, especially given that the books carry an $11.99 cover price!

                              • While I loved the movie, I'll take the books any day. They show much, much more than the movie does and has more humor than the movie does. I love the art work in it and as Dan said you can pick up the books in a boxset for pretty cheap.
