That's if Mexico manages to get into the mythic 5th game...

We've never done anything great in a World Cup but this year I think it will, after win Eurocup'08, the best and most beautiful football is in Spain.

the match of yesterday was interesting:

      YouTube video:

PS: Look at the second goal, Xavi, Iniesta and Silva, PLAYSTATION 100%
      PS1: Fuck soccer, football thanks.

Out of all the teams in Europe Spain is going to win it. It's the only team that looks in top shape this time around.

South America: Brazil is all about defense these days. I don't think they could win it with that alone. Argentina is merely a shadow of what it once was. Maybe they'll get their act together. Probably not.

North America: USA could get far but c'mon... Mexico has a craptacular goal keeper and that will be their achilles heel. And Mexico's manager has no faith in his own dang team.

Asia: I hope Japan gets far. But I don't see any team of this region winning the cup.

Not that I'm overly interested but it's football, soccer sounds weird besides at least in our "football" the ball spends around 90% of the game ACTUALLY BEING KICKED, obviously throw-ins and the keeper make up the other 10%. American football doesn't even make sense considering it isn't even shaped like a ball! It should be called Handegg!

So mere hours to begin with the World Cup, what are your predictions for the first two matches?

South Africa faces Mexico, while Uruguay faces France: I think that Mexico has it to win if they manage to keep order and play simple like they did with Italy on that friendly, while France & Uruguay seem pretty even, so my guess is a draw.

            Can't wait...

I think that the first match for Mexico will be difficult debut against the host and vs the eyes everybody. It'll be a crazy game where both teams try to take the pace of the game, but my bet is 2-2.

Warning with France that gives me the impression that they'll be the surprise in this group A. My bet for Uruguay - France (1-2)

              Good luck!

So Mexico and South Africa ended a draw... TBH, South Africa deserved the win. Now to suffer against France and Uruguay. But the World Cup is finally here. Gotta love it.

I don't call it soccer or football, I call it 'don't give a shit.' It's honestly the one sport that I really do not care about. I can sit and watch a four hour baseball game no problem, but this shit is torture. I just watched about ten minutes of Uruguay and France before I turned off my TV and left the room.

I'll only pay attention if USA gets somewhere this year, out of pride for my country, but I really don't think I can watch a full game.

If you're ignorant of this world (football), don't talk before... I'm "NBA lover" and if I see one NBA game between Knicks & Nets entertain me, however if you see someone who hasn't seen basketball in his life, say that it sucks (and really the two sucks as franchises I'm Heat fan).

Inform before speak, what are the best teams in football now and then you can say without insulting. A bit respect, american.

EDIT: I'll help you as "new" football fan, see the games of Spain, England, Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, Portugal or Italy, sure you'll enjoy.

Take it easy over there, Miguel. Did I say the sport sucked? No. All I said is that I don't care about it and that I don't like watching it. If you took that as a personal insult, then I don't know what to tell you. I know many people who think baseball is boring, but I really don't give a crap because it's their opinion.
