In a few hours S. Korea will go against Greece. I think S. Korea will win it.

I think the US vs England will be interesting to watch. The US has vastly improved their game while England seems to have some probs with WAGS or whatever excuse they seem to come up with for playing crap football.

I dunno what to expect from Argentina... I do know that Nigeria are a tough team to beat, though.

Go England! Shame I can't see this match 'cause I have to work... Hope Rooney scores.

Gerrard scored, but now it's 1-1 because the retard English goalkeeper had the ball but it bounced out of his hands into the goal.

Excuses are like assholes, Emma. ;)

I've been watching this 'match' from the start, and I have to say it's much more exciting when you're rooting for a team to win. I'm obviously rooting for USA but not expecting much...but that misplay by Green has given us life and hope. Let's see if Donovan, Dempsey and Altidore can get something going in the second half.

English football fans were booing their goalkeeper... that's a bit too much. I mean it's not like he made that mistake on purpose.

Besides, the game ain't over yet.

Mistakes are never made on purpose but he wasn't paying attention and it was a very poor, sloppy mistake. I mean, to be right behind the ball but it bounced out of his hands and rolled into the goal. To be fair, it's quite pathetic to have play like that in the World Cup, so I'd boo him if I was there.

I dunno... it just looks kinda lame to boo the team that represents your home country in such an International event.

                    Just sayin'

My mate was in a bar where they had the game on and after England scored someone threw a bottle at the screen and smashed the TV, then all hell broke loose I mean WTF! Police got called etc etc my friends and his colleagues are all fine though honestly they went to watch England play and lets face it they are the representatives of the UK in the competition so why can't we show some support? I mean sure we all know it's gonna be difficult for them but what's wrong with saying:

                      "Go for it England"

As a side note forty four years is a long time and maybe they need to let it go a bit . . .

I remember when was talking with Big_Stu about England... great players, Defense, Midfield and Fowards but Goalkeeper sucks... I think should have selected Almunia (Arsenal FC), because what is in England best to call David Seaman. I understand that it is a mistake that can happen to anyone but it is a very serious mistake, the ball wasn't going very fast. Don't worry Emma, I think Capello will his job in another two games, England will win vs Algeria, the problem would be Slovenia, they're a good team.

Good for Argentina, they failed a lot of goals and could pay dearly, highlight Messi and Nigerian goalkeeper, who saved his team from a large result.

Germany plays on tomorrow versus Australia, great match.

Emma didn't make an excuse, Emma just described what happened.

Not too disappointed in the result now i've had time to digest everything. Had some solid moments in the first half, disappointing not to build on such a good start but you just can't compensate for such a freak goalkeeping error (incidentally, we're talking top three all time World Cup howlers).

Second half was a much better display, you can tell Fabio Capello's beating the team into submission at half time. Quite a comfortable display i thought in the second bar one major scare. Obviously it's a concern not to have converted some of the many chances but it's a start, the team gelled nicely as the game progressed.

Was at least three or four occasions where Aaron Lennon was able to ghost in behind the US' defence and not make anything of it. Typical Lennon, now is the time for him to step up and find us some end product.

There must be a huge question mark in the centre of our defence though. With Ledley King being taken off and his ongoing injury problems, and Jamie Carragher being skinned alive down the left it's inevitably going to cause problems against the better teams if we get that far.

Still confident we could progress from the group stages (i've not ONCE said we'll win, i'm far more conservative about our chances) but we need to keep an eye on the American results from here on and better them, or else we're likely to face Germany in the next round. Confident as i'd be, it's a chance i'd rather not take!

Decent tournament so far apart from France/Uruguay. Can definitely see the impact the new World Cup ball is having on games, so many free-kicks and crosses going wayward. They'd be better off playing with a petrol station 99p football!

Oh, and if anyone in the UK didnt know...those of us watching on ITV HD actually missed the goal because they accidentally went to adverts! Cut to a sponsors ad, black screen for a few seconds, cuts back to Gerrard celebrating! Absolutely disgraceful, you wait so long for that first goal of your country's campaign and you miss it, one of the biggest footballing downers of my life!!

Still, to have a championship, even if it was long ago, is better than none at all. Ask all the fans from countries that haven't won anything yet.

Damn you Green and your stupid mistake!

Gotta feel bad for the guy, he's probably the most hated person in Britain right now.

Im not a massive fan of fottball but I do love to watch the World Cup in a bar with mates, good times
