Kind of disappointed because Mexico utterly lost to Uruguay. They were a better team in all aspects. Let's hope that Argentina puts them out of their misery quick and clean.

Up at 4:30am to watch the Socceroos play Serbia. We won 2-1, but that margin wasn't enough to get us through to the round of 16.
Still very proud of the boys. I've only seen the highlights of the US game, but that last minute goal looked great. Congrats to them.sigpicComment

Anyone else think Rooney is carrying too much weight he's looks like Hatton when he's not fighting, I say drop him for Crouch and keep Heskey out again he's useless anyway.If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Amazing? They scored a goal from a non-existent corner kick. That's just meh...
However it's true that Italy played very bad, well we owned the secod half but overall it's still a poor performance.
Ok Italy is notorious for starting tournaments very slowly bringing their best for the latter stages, and we already knew we weren't as good as 4 years ago, infact no one was actually expecting Italy to win the World Cup again this year, but damn...the last time the Italy failed to advance beyond the opening stage of a World Cup was in 1974, 36 years ago!!!

Very well done to Slovakia. I saw the game and was very impressed with their performance, a not-well-known country like Slovakia beating football giants like Italy. If England go out I will probably support them.Comment
