hey all i was asked by a friend to drum up interest in a new modding forum he started. we talk about modding all the time on the board i don't see the problem.

There's no harm in posting a thread about a project, so long as said project stays in a single thread and doesn't end up being spammed in every vaguely related thread. I, myself, have done similar stuff in the past.
