  • Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox?

Which web-surfing program do tend to use the most, or you tend to prefer using.

Me? Well I've mostly used Explorer, but I'm slowly starting to take a liking for Firefox as well.

Firefox, simply because it's easier to use, a lot more secure and you don't get loads of pop ups all the time.

Mainly Firefox. But I also use Chrome very often.

Agreed. I've just discovered this myself.

I've been using all 3 almost equally, (FF, IE & Chrome) basically whichever one I notice first on my desktop. However, I've been using Fire Fox a lot more recently and to the point where I am just ready to discard IE completely due to the buggyness.

I never experience pop ups with either one though. Also, I noticed that FF and Chrome display CSS coding more accurately in some cases.

I use both. My main browser is Firefox of course, but sometimes I have issues with some sites or uploads, so then I try with IE. Still I recomend Firefox rather than IE.

Mainly firefox, drop by Opera every now and then and I pretty much only launch IE whenever it's secretly being used inside of Steam or when I want to check stuff on Windows Update.

Mozilla Firefox, definitely. I use Opera every now and then, but never as my main browser.

I've never had a good experience with Internet Explorer. Its lack of security is horrendous. Irritating as fuck, really. Also, as someone who designs websites using basic HTML, IE's browser can be a mess to work with, which makes the entire process of cross-compatibility on various browsers extremely difficult. Internet Explorer is just not my friend, though I wouldn't get into a flamewar about it and judge others who choose to use it. I think those kind of arguments might be even more pathetic than console wars, lol.

I used to use Internet Explorer until someone told me about Firefox. I find Firefox much better. It stops pop ups, remembers passwords, easy favorite access and it hardly ever freezes my laptop. Internet Explorer used to freeze on me at least every other day. Firefox freezes say once a fortnight and then it usually comes back on within about 20 seconds.

I primarily use Internet Explorer for the simple reason that it's what is pre-installed on my laptops. I've never really experienced any extreme problems with IE...As the clock from Beauty and the Beast said: If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I have used FireFox and really didn't have anything that stood out to me that I just to switch over.

People say that IE is easier to security hack, more prone to viruses/malware, but in all truth I think some degree of that can be eradicated if you just take some precautions. I delete cookies, saved passwords, et cetera on a semi-regular basis, and in the whole six years I had my laptop before this one, I only had one virus problem that I had to take to a professional.

                        To each his own though.

The issue with IE is that you don't KNOW its broken, even though it is. Page rendering is typically awful compared to other browsers.

Exactly what I do. I have to use IE on my work terminal though
