I've found that I simply don't get tired until the mornings lately. It's probably lack of energy usage, but still. My mind is active, but my body doesn't want to rest either.

nope. more like an adaptation in a sleep cycle, in which anyone can suffer it if they want to. it aint' genetic or whatever. hell, i remember when i used to only get 1 hour of sleep a day for a month straight, and now i pull whatever hours of sleep i want, all depending on how active i remain, whether i'm reading, or stressing myself to stay awake, or maybe a certain bed in the house can easily just knock me out due to how comfortable it is.

I think I've reached a new low for this. I went to sleep at 2PM yesterday, and woke at 10PM. I'm happy to have gotten more than 2-3 hours of sleep, but the cost is that it's effectively concreted my new regimé of being a night owl. Ah well. Seeing the doc today to see if anything can be done.
