Making a list, checking it TWO TIMES.

This year all I'm asking for is money so I can pre-order Duke Nukem and MK. It's such a shame that all these great games are coming out at the start of next year, there's nothing better than unwrapping a game you really want on christmas morning.

What are you wanting this, holiday season?

The same thing I'll tell my family members...I have no idea what I want. Money to pay my bills? Yeah...that's about it. I've discovered that as I've gotten older, I don't like Christmas. I usually buy everything I want when I see it, and dislike the idea of someone shelling out money for things I could easily purchase myself. It may sound cheesey, but honestly I'd just like to spend the holiday with my family and invite some friends over who I haven't seen in a while.

That's the same thing I've told my parents for the past few years since I moved out. They never listen though(because if they buy me a present than obviously I have to get them one), and since they're going to buy something regardless of what I say I usually just spout out a random game I was thinking about getting. It's not cheesy to simply want to hang out with your family&friends on Christmas (maybe it is, but I like it as well). Especially on New year's eve...jesus. There's nothing more depressing than hearing that suicidal trumpant music and seeing all those people embracing one another while you're sitting home on the couch all alone.

I told them to get me LBP2 in the new year when it comes out. I don't mind that I have to postpone until January. They usually get me something small like chocolates on the day anyways.
Now I've moved out, I've realised I'd like a decent set of bathroom scales. So when I go home this morning to give the cats a cuddle I'll let them know.

My brothers and I just usually let each others cancel each other out, and we get nothing for each other - and we're all very happy with that arrangement.

As corny as it may sound, I just want my family and friends to be here, be happy and be healthy. Well, I guess I want those things for me as well...

While I haven't asked for anything (same deal, I'll probably get a couple hundred bucks), my sister's usually good at getting me something nifty that I don't expect. I feel like crap because I have no idea what to get her.

New years will be a non issue as I'm going to India for a few weeks for credit.

I don't do Christmas, so I already got my presents. Mostly the final part of the Haarlock's Legacy series, Dead Stars (wonderful little campaign), the final peices of the Legacy of Fire campaign, the revised edition of All Flesh Must be Eaten and the Game of the Year edition of Morrorwind, which I've never played. And it is good, although my character does look like a poorly shaved monkey. Also got Sakura Wars and .hack/ROOTS on DVD.

I'm spending Christmas and New Year with my girlfriend in California, which is quite an undertaking as i'm from the UK, and it's the first time i'll have been away from my family over the 'holiday season' or whatever you call it. I'm just happy to be here with her, i don't really expect nor want anything else.

As I've gotten older, I've pretty much lost all interest in the holiday season and I think that's for a variety of reasons:

For starters, I work in retail (seriously hoping to be out of it by March of next year), and you pretty much feel like all days (including holidays) just blur together. I hate the Christmas season because it means I have to listen to horrible Christmas songs over and over, deal with bastard customers that don't understand that since they got there late that we are now sold out of the items in the flyer, and just the influx of merchandise that I have to find homes for throughout my department and the store. Christmas in retail sucks. Period.

Secondly, the whole gift giving and being with family thing has just become so mundane for me it's not even funny. I do the same thing every year, and there is no change to it. We go over to my grandparents house, eat Christmas dinner, open presents, and then go home. Christmas after Christmas has been the same for pretty much as long as I can remember. I understand this may be "tradition" or whatever you want to call it, but oh dear Satan, it just gets boring after a while. The gifts are generally the same too; I get some money, and then some random piece of crap trinket type thing that I really didn't want to begin with.

I'm not trying to come across as some bratty, inconsiderate person, but I don't like things that just sit and have no purpose because it usually just ends up in a drawer somewhere. And I always get money because people never know what to get me because like some of you I just buy what I want when I want it. I've played that game before where you make a list for people and then get nothing on the list. That really pisses me off when I passed on an item that was on sale in hopes of getting it for Christmas.

I don't know, I guess between working in retail and just have the same boring things to do each year, I've just come to hate this time of year. I really just see it as "Happy Economic Stimulus Day," as the holiday really has lost it's meaning.

It's always a bitch at Christmas, or whenever a celebrity passes away. If someone famous dies, you can guarantee that you'll be processing and labelling all the merchandise related to them for the next couple of weeks.
                        See you in hell.

I buy myself the things I want, so nothing. I have everything I want.

I know I told my mom to get me Dead Rising 2 but other than that nothing really. My dad got me tickets to a wrestling show that I already went to but Christmas really sucks when you get older. I have to work anyway so I just told people if they want to get me anything just get me bestbuy or gamestop gift cards.
