Its what the character represents and the era, that's more what I'm hoping he'll enjoy.
He's a WW2 vet and still enjoys seeing WW2 films, and films in the WW2 era.
God, 'The Watchmen' was a terrible film....They managed to take all the life out of the graphic novel and make a boring mediocre action flick out of it.
Without Jackie Earle Healy as Rorshach the film would have been unwatchable :/ No Pun intended.
Not to get off topic, but I believe the watchmen is one instance where "style over substance" holds true, unlike Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch" which was a horrid piece of shite covered in glitter.
I'm not saying Watchmen is anywhere near as good as the graphic novel. I'm saying it is a beautiful movie, that was well made. I watched it 3 times because I liked what it did.
Can we end the watchmen/ Captain A. discussion and get back to talking about Xmen.
