    My mistake, from a distance he looks kind of like Ron Paul, which would be ironic. Seeing as how Ron Paul is all about liberty and small government, whereas socialists are all about control and big government.

    Not all politicians are like that, there are a select few who truly stand up for the people and what they believe in, such as Nigel Farage, Gary Johnson, and Ron Paul.

      The people who seek power are rarely the sort to use it in a smart fashion. Some are better than others, it must be said, but pretty much all of them seem intent on what's best for there pocket. If it happens to help the nation out and win them some accolades, bonus.

      I keep thinking - there must be a better way. Maybe a random sampling of the top leaders in business, university, research and such should be asked to form 'parties' at each election, and people vote for them instead? Can't be any worse than the current system.

        Or you know, have transparent campaign financing, preferential voting, and bipartisanship.
