  • New Zealand General Election 2011

New Zealand will be having a general election on November 26, in which 120 seats of the House of Representatives are being contested and the next Prime Minister will be chosen based on which political party holds the majority of the seats. I will of course be supporting ACT, since they support freedom, small government, gun rights, and a fiscally sustainable government. Which party will you support or would you support if you lived in New Zealand and/or were old enough to vote. Here's some info on the parties and where they stand:

ACT New Zealand (Led By: Don Brash)

Right-Wing; Classic Liberalism, Libertarianism, Small Government

Conservative Party of New Zealand (Led By: Colin Craig)

    Right-Wing; Christian Fundamentalism

Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand (Led By: Russel Norman & Metiria Turei)

Left-Wing; Socialism, Green Agenda, Big Government

Jim Anderton's Progressive Party (Led By: Jim Anderton)

Left-Wing; Socialism, Green Agenda, Big Government

Labour Party (Led By: Phil Goff)

Left-Wing; Socialism, Green Agenda, Big Government

    Libertarianz (Led By: Richard McGrath)

    Right-Wing; Libertarianism, Objectivism, Small Government

Mana Party (Led By: Hone Harawira)

    Māori Rights

Māori Party (Led By: Tariana Turia & Pita Sharples)

    Māori Rights

National Party (Led By: John Key)

    Right-Wing; Conservatism

United Future (Led By: Peter Dunne)

    Centrism; Christian Fundamentalism

I would vote for Crocodile Dundee to go over there and sort them out.
