But one of the ones I do think she does some stuff for from time to time is with those S.T.A.R.S. Survival Guides.
I'm a bit surprised about that, really. I didn't know she was that popular that people would freak out over her work. Good for her though; she always did have an amazing style, though she's a little too interested in Wesker for my tastes. She had him doing things...Unspeakable things...

What are these S.T.A.R.S. survival guides of which you speak (Do you have a link to some of them)? I'm not really familiar with doujinshi at all; the only reason I vaguely know what it is is because of searching eBay for Final Fantasy or Resident Evil crap and it inevitably comes up in the search.

    Anyway.

Xander, have you looked into any doujinshi aside from Wolfina? If I see any of her work with ones I may end up picking up, I'll be sure to let you know.
No, I haven't...Though I do recall a CODE: Veronica one years ago on eBay that I always liked the looks of, but like you said, some of these can get rather expensive. And honestly, if I can't physically look at the book prior to buying, I'm probably not going to buy it. The cover and the pages they showed looked normal, but who knows, I get half way into it and there's an Alfred/Alexia/Wesker scenario going on. I'm very leery about just ordering one for the fun of it.

I need that guide you speak of that tells you the "do"'s and "don't"'s.

And yes, if you do get any Wolfina ones (or can direct me to eBay listings, websites, et cetera) please let me know.

Then he has her fucked by a horde of men in the street and they pour a barrel worth of cum into her vagina. That one? (if you made that up, you were pretty much correct)

I believe there's one with Claire and a Licker. Chris and Rebecca. Leon and Sherry. Irons and Sherry. Claire and Sherry. Leon and Claire, etc. Oh, also Jill and three kids and an Ivy.

I remember one, many years ago, about Sherry's adventures in the RPD before Claire. It was mostly interesting because two of the characters were a (not yet) zombie cop and the (not yet) female zombie, and how they got from not yet to flesh eater. The slightly creepy Irons/Mayor's Daughter sex/snuff scene (which Sherry watched and masturbated) did kinda ruin it, though.

But there are far, far worse ones...T-mutants on a mission to impregnate woman being especially nasty.

I wouldn't be ashamed, there's a lot of decent doujinshi that isn't the crap that the others' are going on about.

Hell, I'm tempted to post some of the scans out of the Clock Tower ones I have (anyone up for a little bit of gore)?

.... Well, actually I'm translating them to host them on my site (going to include a disclaimer that I'm not taking any credit other than the scans, translations for fans of the content parodied/shown within the doujinshi). Bianca, did you only have Biohazard ones or did you have some other ones? (I can see KNJ and a couple of other ones I partially recognize from what I can see from the spines/backs).

You would quite honestly be surprised, depending on the artist of course. If I recall correctly, the creator of Hunter X Hunter made a Biohazard doujinshi.

Due to the artist, that particular doujinshi is rather rare and tends to go for quite a bit of money (sometimes around $100).

I remember seeing some of the things she had him do.... ; Mind you, the group colour images she did were fantastic.

S.T.A.R.S. Survival Guide #8 Doujinshi on eBay. It's mainly been one circle but from time to time, I've seen other circles publish their own ones to the same doujin series. If I recall, some of Wolfina's drawings are in some of the newer ones.

The titles vary between "S.T.A.R.S. Survival Guide" and "S.T.A.R.S. Survival Manual".

The issue is that the item from the circle B-Sting I'm looking for, is that the art quality is good but the prices get crazy.

Found two lots of a decent amount of their Biohazard ones (including that CODE: Veronica one). Not willing to pay the price for them though.

Most online ones will have two to three sample pages, will also list a genre too.

If you can't find the guide, I'll write one up eventually.

And will do! (Only if you tell me if you see any Clock Tower and/or Demento/Haunting Ground ones too!).

Yeah, it was really quite nice of the artist to actually scan and upload it to his blog as well.

Pity not many of them actually do that.

Still looking around to see if I can find anymore Clock Tower or Demento ones. No luck yet.

Most of them are Resident Evil, but some of them are Kyou Kara Maou! and Shōjo Kakumei Utena, among others. The Kodomo no Jikan book you see is actually an artbook, but, oh, man, good eye. About 80% of my Resident Evil ones are RE2-related. I tend to collect ones that feature an abundance of Claire or Sherry.

I used to have three of the S.T.A.R.S. Survival Guides, but I sold two of them a few years ago. (I had the one with Alexia and the one with Claire.) Now, I only have the one with Wesker on the cover.

Haha, well you've got some good ones there from the sound of it. Ah, I wasn't sure if it was a special release or an artbook or something, so that's interesting to hear that there is a standalone artbook. A few years back a girl from my school had been reading it as she found the art to be cute. *Shrugs*

                      Anyway.

                      Ah, nice. ^^

I'm maining collecting Clock Tower or Demento ones (still no Demento ones found for sale at the moment though).

                      [EDIT] Found another two, both by the same circle as one of the ones I've already purchased. Funnily enough, one was actually just released today. >_>;

Still no Demento ones as of yet.

But if I'm counting the raw comics, when I do get these two additonal ones I'll have a total of about... 10 or so CT doujinshi (with 5 of them being in one book).

Question, how does doujinshi differ from manga? I don't know all these terms.

Manga = officially usually original OR official comic published piece.
Doujinshi = usually a manga derrived from an already established bit of content, such as an anime/manga/video game etc.

Or you could also consider some doujinshi as amateur manga too.

However, some manga artists' actually do make their own doujinshi of other's works and those ones are considered collector's items and some doujin artists and/or circles (groups of artists together) may end up getting attention for their work and end up getting their own original manga officially published or even their doujin work accepted by the creator of the original content.

Some dislike particular usage of their content, such as the creator of Dead or Alive and Kamiya (regarding Bayonetta) both irritated and disgusted that there's h-stuff of their work around... Whereas others may give official approval to particular ones due to their quality, content and the factor that some of them become so well known, it's practically free marketing for the original content that the doujinshi was based on.

Regarding the collector's items types, it varies depending on the popularity of the artist and/or those involved in the original content.

For instance, the Studio Loud in School "Wonderfully FIGHT" doujinshi I have is actually by the creator of "Bastard!!" and his assistants which are collectively known as "Study Loud in School" and as such, particular releases are much more rare and costly than others.

Fight is one of the more hard-to-get ones. Also one of the rare artists' that does h-stuff of his own work (but I suppose it makes sense as he did originally start out as an assistant to a h-artist).

Anyway. Did a bit more digging, looks like there might be another two to three CT doujinshi released by this circle this year. Will have to see how it goes.

Nope. Kamiya got rather angry when someone linked to one on his Twitter. The DoA creator was demanding that the ones based on DoA be removed online and in shops from what I recall.

I wonder if it was disgust for his characters being accosted, or that he wasn't making any money off it...
