I came across something that can be considered a big spoiler, a few actually, if they turn out to be true. I looked back in the main RE6 thread and did not see anything pertaining to what I found. I am skeptical about putting this information out there, I don't know if it's true or not but if it turns out to be true, i'd feel bad if people get upset over it. If I put the information in spoiler tags would I get in trouble?
In this thread? You don't even need the spoiler tags. Anyone who comes in here and bitches about being spoiled needs to be less selective in there reading.
Alright. I'm just making sure. I only brought up the spoiler wrap because I am not sure if it is legit or not. I've been absent from this site for some time and when I look back at the main thread I didn't see anything on it. I haven't found it anywhere else so that's why I am going to post it. Again, I don't know if this is true or just pure bullshit. If it's true it contains some big spoilers. If you're reading this, it's at your own risk but incase you're just curious and peeking in to see what people say you still have some time to back away, just incase if it turns out to be true. I'll wrap in a spoiler tag anyway.
Spoiler:
Leon Spoilers:
Apparently, Adam Benford, President of the United States, is not really who you think he's supposed to be. In the beginning of Leon's scenario we see a zombified version of him right before he bites the bullet after making a confession that the country and world needs to know the truth about the Umbrella conspiracy several years back (the connection between the U.S. Government and Umbrella which was hinted at from RE0, RE1, RE2, RE3:NEMESIS, RE CODE: VERONICA, RE: UMBRELLA CHRONICLES) and that at the Ivy University he will reveal the truth.
When Leon gets to China he finds Adam Benford, alive and well, somewhere underground (most likely the facility underwater that Simmons works from). Benford not only fakes his death using that same chyrsalis pod-looking thing that Carla used but he, not Simmons, is the mastermind behind everything.
Benford wants to recreate the United States Government with "new assets" due to the public pressure from both the citizens of the U.S. and the rest of the world wanting to know just how involved the government was with Umbrella. So Benford has created this pseudo group called "Neo Umbrella" to take responsibility for the C-Virus outbreaks around the world to make it look like the boogeyman is out to get people when it's been the U.S. Government under Benford all along.
Leon encounters Benford in China at this underwater facility. Benford turns into a C-Virus Tyrant and Leon must kill him via rocket launcher given to him by Ada Wong (RE2 style).
Jake Spoilers:
Simmons, National Security Advisor, and friend of Adam Benford is made to look like the typical villain for the fans but is working with Benford to bring in this new U.S. Government. He blackmails Sherry Birkin to bring in Jake in the same manner that he did to Helena with her sister. Simmons plan was to frame Ada using Carla to be behind Neo Umbrella. Her first purpose was to use her to get Chris Redfield to go against her by creating Carla to get him involved in a personal manner. Helena is the backup plan if Chris fails to kill her by forcing her to either persuade Leon to kill Ada or do it herself (this part is not too informative though).
Simmons wants Jakes blood for Benford's new government recreation. Jake discovers this plan and refuses to give his blood to Sherry Birkin (who was sent there to get it for Simmons). Sherry feels like shit and breaks down, Jake refuses to give his blood, and Simmons gets angry. Simmons then mutates into a King C-Mutant like Carla did to become a Queen C-Mutant.
Chris Spoilers:
There was none besides the fact that he does not die.
So, I don't know if this is true or not. I don't recall reading this on any other website and right now it's pure speculative until the game comes out. But there you go.
Yeah, they are the same spoilers I mentioned in the RE6 thread. They are just boring and predictable enough to be true, not to mention utterly shit. I'd be extremely disappointed if that's how it turned out.
Chris dies protecting Jake
Sherry can die depending on your actions
Carla kills Ada
Now that right there is the impact I am looking for in this series but sadly Capcom does not have the balls to do it and I seriously, desperately want them to prove me wrong.

The source of those "spoilers" is from gamefaqs. I doubt they are legit.
