  • Looks pretty reasonable! I wonder if that gate actually leads to another room or not...

Most likely not; the aforementioned wheelbarrow is actually blocking access to it entirely. The room boundaries in the 80% build were not fully tuned, which is why Elza was able to stand on top of all that clutter as if it weren't there. It is curious, though, that light is emanating from beyond the bars. It's probably either canine solitary confinement (if a dog is indeed poking his head through the bars), or extra storage.

          Thank you :-)

I'm sure that most people probably think that my investigations are futile since we'll be getting the actual game "soon," but I still think it's worthwhile just for the sake of the pursuit of truth.

Not at all! You, Black Crow, Alzaire ect. have all broken a lot of ground over these last years! Always fun when one seemingly insignificant screenshot gets leaked out and changes everyone's understanding of how things are actually layed out

Yeah, I almost miss the days when all of the hardcore 1.5 vets would discuss to the finest details the layout of BH1.5... Now it seems that the more information is released, the quieter the older folks get :-/

              • The reason I am quieter is because the moderators get easily offended. I just don't want to be banned. I am a RE fan, and would like to create more things. But unfortunately Alzaire doesn't respond to me when I am online, and I am tired of trying to communicate with people that ignore me. We use to chat a lot about the maps, and it was fun. But people here form bonds with forum members, go to their house, hang out etc, so that is why they take things way too personally. I don't know much about their personal lives because I don't want to get too personal anyway. That way people won't get so offended when getting into an online argument.

So, anyway, I am spending a little time with working on maps, and spending more time on my other projects. With the recent videos I am trying to come up with a updated map and when I am done it will be on here. Then when more videos come out, I could compare and see what I did wrong. Unless the whole game will be released on Christmas, as someone suggested, then I will just play the game and comment on it.

                • Again, Black Crow, I am not the whole moderation team (it just looks that way 'cos I'm awesome) and we're not going to punish you unless you

                  1) Insult other members or

                  2) Ignore instructions to stop insulting members

Which are what you have infraction points for. Don't blame us (or, more accurately, me) if you don't wanna post as much. So long as you don't ignore the rules you're as free as everyone else is to post.

As for Chris not talking to you...he's not been home until recently, and has been busy getting engaged. Between that and you insulting him, repeatedly, might have more to do with not talking to you than him coming to my house. Oddly enough, you've never been a topic of conversation, so I don't actually know for sure.

So post away. Just don't call people names and no one will care.

                  • First, just to clear up any possible confusion, this is that Neoekamp noob posting under an older, thought-to-be-long-lost account. I didn't realize I still had my password stored on this particular PC, and couldn't find the email associated with it, so I thought it would be easier to just create a new user account (Neoekamp). Whoops.

So anyway, I just want to share a finding I had while working on my own project. This is not a mind-blowing world-altering discovery, in fact, it only reinforces what members such as Black~Crow and Alzaire already knew about. Namely, (a.) the placement of the width-wide window of the Chief's office on 3F, and (b.) any confusion surrounding the camera angle of the 1F North-East Lot (the one with the roof and the flaming SWAT van). As said, nothing new, just some interesting visual evidence to the placement of some rooms.

Pic #1: Screen from the Playstation Museum video, with character shopped out. The section of wall with the blue, red and green can appear to be parallel with the section of roof above the doorway, due to the perspective and the darkness of the area (pink box is the window). This makes it look like the building only goes up two floors, with one small window at the far corner. As the 1.5 community has known since forever, the area with the roof and door, in fact, protrudes from the main length of the building's back wall, as the old-ass 1F Map image shows us.

Pic #2: A shot of my Google Sketchup project, to recreate the RPD using Enigmatic and Black~Crows' map contributions as a base. I tried to get the model scale and camera placement as faithful as possible, though it is still a little off, I think it matches the original (tricky) perspective enough for this case. The guidelines about match those in the Pic #1.

Pic #3: Another shot of my Sketchup recreation, showing a full view of the RPD's Northeast corner. Guidelines are still in place, showing that the wall section does produce the tricky perspective from #1 and #2, while following the specifications of Enigmatic and Black~Crows' maps.

Pic #4: Interior of the 3F Chief's Office, showing the large window on the room's North wall. The room is placed within the building in its long-accepted floor and corner. This window is most probably the window shown in #1, the orignal background.

So yeah, everyone was right all along, and the sky is still as blue as ever

                    • Interesting, but maybe that window is like the ones in the front with the bars on it. Looking closely the window does seem to match the office window.

Anyway, the project I talked about before, I wanted to make a demo of RE1.5. I think it would take too much time to do a whole game. So if this 40% build comes out, which I think is the demo from the Japanese magazine, I can use that as a reference. And make it from scratch and not a mod of the RE2 game engine.

Spot-on! This is one of the best analyses I've seen in ages, thank you!

                        • Looking at the EKamps 3d Model helped me create the 3rd Floor map. It makes sense. Here is the 2nd floor maps. I made 3 version and a 4th would be the same with another combination of the exit doors and elevator hall.

2nd Version I forgot to omit the number 7. exit staircase, my mistake. Edit: I replaced the map with the fix.

The 3rd floor map I made 2 version incase the exit staircase doesn't go to the 3rd floor, and only the elevator does.

                          • I recreated the RPD in 3D. A basic model inspired by the Ekamp. I used it to help me visualize the layout of the map of the 3rd floor.

                            • Sweet maps and model dude! Did you make that in 3DS Max?

Though, I do believe the 3F room you have labeled as "Utility Shed" could be the Conference Room, with the large window at the front of the building. It is similar to the "posh" style used in the Chief's Office, meaning it could be close and on the same floor.

Also, from the screens of this room, Elza meets John here and then fights the gorillas, similar to how Leon meets Ada in the garage and fights the gorillas. This is also immediately before they gain access to the sewers. Since we know Elza and John reach the sewers through the helipad, wouldn't it make sense for the Conference room to be only a couple rooms away from the helipad/sewer access, to mirror Leon's scenario?

Now, how or if it's connected to the helipad stairway? Dunno lol, I think a grungy metal door would be out of place in some place like the Conference Room.

So pretty much I like your old map more and I'm hesitant to change :p

                              • I used Maya to make the 3D model of the RPD. It isn't done that good it is an illusion, meaning I wouldn't recommend using it in a game model. But maybe as a template to redo it. About the Media room you called the conference room, Remember the screen shot that shows the signs that say "Media room, Radio room, and Medical room"? Alzaire said to me it may be a utility shed.

Also, I have to look at the old map you are referring too. I did think the Chiefs office was on the 2nd floor.
